RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

ECONOMY

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature and/or U.S. Congress.

Neutral

It is the responsibility of city government to provide subsidized housing at taxpayer expense.

Neutral

I think this should be on the state budget.

Property taxes should be abolished.

Disagree

How would we fund keeping our community safe and clean by abolishing property tax?

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

City officials should have the right to proclaim their city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.

Disagree

Residents should have a say.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values are to be a good citizen by treating people with respect and kindness. I also believe honesty and transparency is key in holding strong positive values. I've been successful at life by living on these values that were taught to me at a young age.

Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.

Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I disagree because it helps keep elections more honest by asking for an ID.

All filings by candidates for municipal office, including ballot application and campaign finance reports, should be available for public online access on the city website within 24 hours of filing deadline.

Agree

Transparency

Ballot measures which include bond issues should fully disclose both the potential tax rate increase and actual monetary increase for the average single family residence.

Agree

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I think it’s gotten out of hand and it’s time to go back to the basics.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) instruction should be required for all city employees.

Strongly Disagree

It’s become more clear this program is turning into a bigger problem then a solution.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Taxpayers should subsidize green initiatives such as electric vehicle charging stations.

Neutral

I think there are companies that will install free charging stations.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To provide us a good quality of life.

Candidates and officeholders should be required to disclose all business investments and real estate, whether in the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

Neutral

Candidates maybe not so much, what if they don’t get elected? As far as elected officials, I think it would be a matter of capacity of position.

Please list your business investments and/or real estate, whether within the city or in an area currently proposed for annexation.

I have non proposed for annexation

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

Why not just have a separate fund for community programs.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I think we need to make sure guns don’t end up in the wrong hands. I also like to see more free education on handling guns safely and storing them.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

Throwing someone in jail for an ounce of marijuana doesn’t sit well with me. On the other hand the risks of smoking it is dangerous and that needs to be more talked about in my opinion.
