I completed up to grade 12. I was in the US Army from May 15, 1958 until August 20, 1962. After that I work in a box and hoseiry mill. I worked in trucking after that. I retired on July 30, 1999. Within truck driving I am a farmer of tobbacco and cattle. I have been a member at Centenary United Methodist Church since 1975. I was a former Trustee. Currently I am on the Finance Committee as well as the Parsongage Committee. I also teach Sunday School. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Stoneville. I am a member of the Western Rockingham, Eden, and Reidsville Chamber of Commerce. I was formerly on the Rockingham Planning and Zoning Board for six and a half years. I was formerly on the Technincal Review Committe for six years. I was a Commissioner for Rockingham County for four years. I was a member of several boards while being a comissioner, I was on the Association of County Commissioners Tax and Advisory Committee. Member of the US 220 I-73 connecter Committee.
17. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer.
I am a contributor to the Rockingham Community College Foundation, United Way, Rockingham Historical Museum, the Rockingham Arts Councel, and Rockingham County Theater Guild.
