QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Choose not to answer

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

The only involvement, should be to escort the student to the Health office, contact the parents or legal guardians, and contact EMS as needed.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

I feel that curriculum is known well enough in advance to have these issues addressed. It should be on a case by case basis, handled between the teacher and their school Principal prior to school starting. As to not disrupt lessons for students or without an alternate plan in place.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I believe the Government is obligated to fund general public education. To provide a fully funded system that can afford the general public with a basic, well rounded education in reading, writing, math and science. In doing so, we allow ourselves the best possible opportunities for as many Americans to succeed. Without a stable education system, we will fail to cover our own industries needs for skilled labor, technology sectors, medical services and beyond.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

School is for general education. All medical related services should be left to the parents and outside the schools.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Consistency is how you build character. Without clear examples and expectations of behavior, students could not be expected to meet the basic standards of proper conduct. This consistent discipline standard is the same for students and staff. All are held to the same standards. Students seeing other students misbehave, let alone staff misbehaving without consequence, will breed an environment of disrespect and chaos.

Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?

Yes

Parents will have every right to inspect any and all information used in the schools, as they are responsible for what is accessible to their children. The community will be afforded the same rights of inspection as they pay to provide the materials just the same.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Disagree

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Funds are delivered to the Federal government in the expectation that it will be used in the best interest of our countries education. The times have shown that the government has not always acted in that manner. I believe every State has a thorough understanding and common goal of consistently producing strongly educated students. The country is too large for one government to accurately monitor and quality control, better than the local government is capable of.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American History, Civics, Art & Music, Foreign language, Physical fitness, Vocational Learning, Personal finances

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Equality of opportunities. Outcomes are earned, but the ability to try should be afforded to all.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

I don't wish to have CSE present. But if voted in, it shall be only, (A) Opt-In.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Agree

Teachers come from many backgrounds, such as law enforcement and the military. Specific regulations and rules would need to be structured to ensure the highest level of safety and consideration prior to any implementation. Ongoing annual review with the local police, coupled with a psych evaluation of the staff applying for said privilege. This is just a rough idea of ways to include more options for schools. More research would be needed before this could be viable.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.

Strongly Disagree

Existing illness policies already exist to manage these situations. A lot was learned from our recent pandemic. If the child is feverish and/or contagious, as defined by a healthcare professional, then the child stays out of school until deemed well enough by their provider. Parents should exercise common sense, and seek advice from a medical professional.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

Never. Zero criminal history or involvement.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

Choose not to answer

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have been an active Christian most of my life. I believe in God, my family and friends to help guide me through tough times. My faith has been the rock that has seen me through many of life's storms. Although this is my belief, I understand that there are many rocks in life that anchor a person to weather the storm. The same as my faith has led me to where I am, I can respect that someone else's faith has brought them here just the same. I believe that in our core, we all strive for the same peace of mind, to have a world where our children can be safe, and live long joyful lives without fear of persecution or condemnation.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Parents are to be the initial education of sexually oriented subjects and the basics of their own bodies. While the school will fill in only the technical knowledge and understanding of anatomy and functions of the human body. I believe the age in school is 12. At this stage most children will be entering puberty and will need additional understanding of expected changes.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Abstinence, consent, contraceptive methods, human anatomy/the reproductive system, stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Strongly Agree

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Choose not to answer

This has no bearing on school Board business.

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

My hope is someday, to have all peripheral materials beyond the basic curriculum, to be Opt-In only. This allows for parents to choose a more straight forward education, or to include optional education if desired. Similar to the way their children will decide what courses in college to take, or what classes for a career. This provides a more transparent system by honoring the parents rights to decide the direction of their child's education.

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have much easier and timely access to all records, than they currently are afforded. My personal experiences have shown that without complete access to our students records, and in a timeframe convenient to the parents, details can be missed, causing catastrophic failure to our ability to care for our children. The time away from home is critical to be documented accurately and timely to ensure parents are the most informed as possible. Any dereliction to this is negligence.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

For safety and privacy reasons, biological males and females should remain separate.
