QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Schools should work with the student to inform their parents and should work with the parents and student to the extent they can to support the students needs at school.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The education system is to EDUCATE students in reading, writing, math, science, and it is great to have career and life such budgeting or home economics. We should not be pushing social, moral, or religious beliefs on students. That is the responsibility of the parents. Likewise we should not be pushing anything that is against the beliefs of the parents.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Education is funded in the state of AZ through property taxes but the funding was originally established with the state trust lands. Funding should be used to educate the student in the environment best suited for each student. Currently AZ does not fund the college education of students like other states do. I would like to see our state consider funding either trade school or base university through either lotto or Med Mar money with the requirement of student maintaining an adequate GPA.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Agree
rules, boundaries, and expectations should be set in policy and should be applied consistently.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
All materials should be appropriate so there is no reason to hide it.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
We are a diverse population no matter what and all our children should be treated well and have every possible opportunity to get a good education. When we start implementing DEI is when actual racism begins. Kids are not naturally divisive so why would we want to make them that way.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Neutral
I put neutral because this is a loaded topic. While I do not like excess governmental involvement, I would like to know what this looks like. We do have special needs children that we need to service and unfortunately I don't know that at the state level that would be considered. I know I see far too many over paid administrations at the state/local level. Parents being involved it the best answer but until then the school board needs to start providing REAL oversight.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
Language Arts (reading and writing), Mathematics, Science, American History/world history, Civics are a minimum base education. life includes both personal finances and Art & Music. It is always good to have Foreign Language but is not mandatory. In today's society Information Technology is required but some of the traditional cannot be lost. Physical Fitness to be perfectly honest is needed for behavior management. kids need to move. Vocational Learning is also important!
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
The point of the education dollar is to educate the kids. Not all kids learn the same way and parents need to do what is best for the kids. If public K12 wants to ensure the dollars flow to them then they need to function in a way that they are the best option for the parents to select. Our top performing public schools have parents selecting them. If a schools is not being selected then we need to evaluate why and fix the issues.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Students should have adults that stop making up word salad problems. Kids want to learn and we need to be teaching them. If there is a concept they aren't getting then we need to figure out how to get through. That is why we have good teachers who work together for the good of kids. Not all kids have the same abilities so we should do everything to help them meet their full potential. That comes with encouraging them to work hard and expecting they will learn as much as possible.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
A - Opt-In Our parents have the RIGHT to influence their child's education. Opt-In prevents hidden
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.

Very Conservative
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian and I believe in traditional values. I am not trying to force my religion on anyone. I expect our schools will not undermine the parents influence on their children.
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Well this is a loaded question when phrased this way. As a part of science students should be taught biology and body function. Since this topic naturally has an element of embarrassment for some students, it is appropriate for male and female students to have a separate opportunity to learn about how their body will change during puberty. Unfortunately, not all parents will teach this though it would be great if they did. Since they don't, there should be a part of health class or biology that does at least show self care (ie.. deodorant. anti-perspirant, feminine hygiene, etc..). Additionally, there is no reason they should not learn the biology of how a child is formed. This should be the basics in a biology class. As for what age well that is harder to answer. I was 9 when I started puberty and I sure wish someone would have told me about menstruation before I thought I was about to die but it is different for every kid. This is why parents are the key for some of these topics. Notice I have not called it sex ed? That is because I don't think we should be teaching sex. We need to partner with the parents to make sure kids are informed about things like what is NOT appropriate considering so many children face abuse. Kids need to know how to protect themselves for sure and none of us should be so uninformed to believe that kids at a certain age wont figure some of this out on their own and they should at least know what can happen be it pregnancy or disease or emotional fallout. I don't see what is wrong for encouraging abstinence so kids have a chance to be kids and enjoy life before they have to face the adult issues. How we went from basic education to avoid teen pregnancy and health concerns to now where some adults try to push how to manuals and the sexualization of children in to our schools is beyond comprehension but it just needs to stop. Kids don't need to have their youth taken from them.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
I think I was clear above but of what this survey has listed I think it should be limited to. general health, abstinence; consent; (maybe with parents input) contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; stages of pregnancy and fetal development. I don't agree with any form of an actual abortion and things like an ectopic pregnancy that they call abortion is not an actual abortion it is a developing miscarriage because it is not viable and could cause serious damage. They are using as an excuse to push actual abortions. it is sad that with each generation the value of life is more lost.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
Body dysphoria should not be accepted in a child as fact then irreversible damage is done. let kids develop and change as they always have. When they are adults they can elect to do what they want but let them first grow up.
Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.
Strongly Agree
kids have a right to be protected from any and all grooming. Keep the inappropriate materials away from kids and make the punishments for those who abuse children MORE sever. While we are at it, if a superintendent doesn't make every effort to protect kids and pushes for resignation in place of termination because it is easier for them, then they should lose their certification and should not be in a position like that because they are too lazy to do the job!
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We are required to have an ID for all kinds of things so why not require it for voting. While you are at it I am fine with requiring a thumb print on the ballot to ensure one legal voter one ballot.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
