QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Maternal Health Risks, Fetal Abnormalities, Rape or Incest, Age and maturity, Financial or Social Circumstances and Reproductive Autonomy.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I advocate for the establishment of safety standards to prevent misuse and safeguard the well-being of individuals. These safety measures will enhance transparency, ensure accountability, and facilitate informed decision-making regarding the use of chemical abortion drugs. Moreover, they enable healthcare providers to monitor and address any potential risks or complications that may arise, thus prioritizing the health of individuals undergoing chemical abortions.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

Ultimately, whether abortion providers like Planned Parenthood should receive taxpayer funds is a complex issue that involves balancing moral, ethical, legal, and public health considerations. It is a matter of ongoing debate and public policy decision-making at the federal, state, and local levels. In my opinion and in many cases we asking a mother whom have no choice of her genetic make up and how it may cause complications that lead to her paying out of pocket's is immoral and wrong.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

The topic of taking a life is deeply distressing, and decisions regarding it should not be made lightly, in my view. Nevertheless, specific circumstances may necessitate evaluating whether this action is justifiable.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The right to private property enables individuals to own, use, and transfer resources, providing incentives for investment, wealth creation, and economic growth. I believe these are the fundamental principles to fostering a dynamic and prosperous economy.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

It is essential to consider various factors, such as the current economic conditions, inflation rates, and potential impacts on businesses and workers when discussing changing minimum wage. I don’t believe the current wage is adequate for living.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

This approach can help promote positive environmental and social impacts while also potentially yielding financial returns.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I believe that the government has the authority to impose restrictions on religious gatherings under certain circumstances, such as during public health emergencies like the pandemic. These restrictions are typically applied to all gatherings, regardless of their purpose, to prevent the spread of disease. However, any government action that restricts the ability to practice religion must adhere to constitutional principles.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Choose not to answer

I believe this is a scenario that many encounter frequently. However, I acknowledge that not every decision made by an owner is definitively right or wrong.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options: I believe this supports a public option for healthcare coverage while allowing individuals to have the choice of private insurance

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

School attendance, employment, International travel, high risk settings and public health emergencies.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

It is important for governments and organizations to address and manage these threats through diplomatic, economic, and security measures to safeguard national interests and international stability.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe this relationship between the United States and Israel is seen as important for promoting shared interests, security, and stability in the region. It also reflects a strong bond between two allies with shared democratic values.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

I advocate for setting aside political agendas and prioritizing the protection of people’s lives by passing a bill that enhances border security without exploiting it for political advantage. It is crucial to understand that executive orders offer temporary solutions, and lasting resolutions necessitate congressional action.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Disagree

I recognize the potential benefits as well as the drawbacks of this approach. Shifting responsibility from the government to parents does not guarantee its intended success. Moreover, diverting funding and resources from public schools is not something I support.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Neutral

In certain instances, it is advised to consider this option either at birth or during early childhood, after consulting with a doctor to make informed decisions.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

I believe in the teachings of the Bible, yet I also hold the belief that God granted mankind free will.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Pentecostal believer who embraces the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, and dancing in the spirit. I affirm that I am saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I believe every voter should be identified

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Agree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Indeed, this has become commonplace for many individuals, while being dismissed as fake by those who have never experienced it. Numerous instances have surfaced during my canvassing as a candidate. If this trend persists, we risk perpetuating historical mistakes. Our nation is delicate, and it appears that even minor events could trigger a chain reaction of problems.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Choose not to answer

I am unclear about the essence of this question or its target age group. What I can affirm is that I acquired my authentic history knowledge from my grandparents, who are descendants of the Rosewood massacre. Additionally, it wasn't until college — not in grade school — that I truly grasped the genuine historical truths, where the deep-rooted struggles of the black community were delved into. Do I believe that history is being concealed? Yes, and to whose advantage, or for what purpose precisely

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

D

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The sun in my opinion

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I believe the purpose of government is to serve and protect its citizens, promote public welfare, maintain law and order, provide essential services, manage resources efficiently, and uphold the common good. Governments are established to create a framework within our society and can function to ensure the well-being and safety of its populace, and make decisions for the collective benefit of the community.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Liberal

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

With a background in law enforcement, I comprehend the requirements of the field. Nonetheless, I am also aware that the mismanagement of funds is a significant concern. I firmly support the idea that our local communities require more officers who are not only well-trained but also representative of the community they serve.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We I believe their should be consideration based on various factors such as the type of weapons, background checks, waiting periods, training requirements, mental health assessments, storage regulations, and limitations on access for certain individuals (such as convicted felons, domestic abusers, or individuals with a history of violence.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No

In my opinion, this situation poses many problems. These include the risks of carrying a weapon around children, concerns about the mental health of teachers, and the responsibility of officers in responding to potential active shooters or barricaded suspects. There is a significant chance that officers may approach teachers with weapons without knowing their identity, leading to potential conflicts.
