OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Up to 24 weeks
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
Because reporting and unnecessary doctor visits aren attempt to limit access. I believe in bodily autonomy in all circumstances. The 24-week limit is a practical compromise.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support a right to bodily autonomy, without using stolen taxpayer money to fund any medical procedure
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
If this decision is between the patient and their doctor. If the patient doesn't request this information or the assistance then it should not be provided. It also should not be provided with public dollars
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
There shouldn't be one. Minimum wage laws interfere with the right to contract between the employee and the employer.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Access public monies to invest basically shouldn't exist. Except for short-term cash balances, there shouldn't be any long-term financial market investments by government entities. Having said that, purely financial metrics for guiding investment are probably the way to go for public monies. Some fairly obvious businesses probably shouldn't be invested in with public monies.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
I can't think of a scenario where the government would be justified in closing a church. If church members are fully informed and choose to infect each other, they're adults, so be it.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
You do not give up your freedom of non-association simply by getting a business license. If you choose to be a bigot, you have that freedom, you should accept whatever social consequences come with that bigotry. This does not extend to government officials/workers. Government paid workers have no right to.impose their personal religious opinions on citizens. If you don't like it, get a different job.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
D
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Private employers/schools are free to require anything they want. Government probably does have some right, as an employer, to require vaccination of employees. Requiring citizens to be vaccinated in order to interact with government is wrong.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
As does Russia, and other nation-states
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Only in that it is a liberal democracy in a reagion that is almost all authoritarian theocracies. It should receive no financial aid of any kind from the US.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Neutral
A majority up of migrants are not coming physically across the border, they're coming on tourist or other visas and overstaying their visas. the premise of The question is false.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Disagree
Except in welfare situations, there should be no public money spent on childhood education. People should pay for their own children's education, if they aren't really too poor to do so, than there is a role of the state to provide a basic education.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Neutral
This is another culture war question. This is in large part a non-issue, being used to rile up the base. Actual indoctrination is wrong in a government school setting. However, basic information, even about sex, is not indoctrination.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
Up to a point, the statement is correct. Parents do have a right to make decisions, as long as those decisions are not harmful to the child. If a parent chooses to forcibly transition their child to the opposite gender against the child's objections, that would be obviously wrong.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Taxpayer funds should not be spent on any medical procedure for anybody.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Bullshit. Keep your religion out of my government. A better solution to this is to remove the government involvement in marriage. Get married to any consenting, adult or adults, the only role for government is when children are produced.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I'm an Evangelical atheist. I don't believe, and neither should you. A more correct label would be apitheist, I simply don't care about the question. Just like I don't care about stories about fairies, Greek mythology, or the myths of some random Asian countries deities.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Agree
Again, this is a cultural.wa question. Virtually everyone has some kind of government issued photo ID, so the argument that you should be able to vote without it is somewhat silly. At the same time, while there is some amount of fraud, it is small, and it certainly isn't happening by in-person voting, to any large extent. The vote fraud that is happening, is happening by a mail-in ballots. There needs to be a much better valid security, doing something like Oregon does would solve the issue.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Neutral
I think the the compact is essentially irrelevant, and is a distraction from the real issues. While I would support a state joining the compact, it's not worth spending a lot of money or time on.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I used to say no. Around 2012. I would have said that racism is no longer any kind of a serious issue. Clearly that has changed.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
More culture war nonsense.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
oh goodie, another culture war question . Private institutions and sports should do whatever they want. With respect to trans women. Government should have no role. All bathrooms should be gender neutral, after all. Every airplane has gender neutral bathrooms. To the extent that women's shelters and prisons are government run, be likely should be segregated along the lines of biological sex.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
D and A. Human caused global climate change is real, severe, and will get worse. The problem is that all too often supporters of this correct view immediately jump to the idea that that totalitarian socialist state is the solution. It is not. We need free market solutions and tools for climate change.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear energy
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To enforce laws against aggression, violence, fraud, and provide for a judiciary, and for the DEFENCE of the United States
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Again, the question is malformed and you're misusing the word liberal. I think you mean progressive. I am a hardcore classical liberal, I believe in human freedom, individual rights, Free speech, free enterprise. The best label for me would be libertarian.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Neutral
Too much oney is spent on traffic law and status crimes The drug war should be ended, traffic should be enforced, via automated remote systems. We need need 50% less police officers, and 200%. More detectives. Crime needs to be solved, and the perpetrator is actually caught and brought to Justice. Some social programs are justified, specifically victim offender mediation, which makes the offender feel guilty for their crimes, much more so than just throwing them in a cage.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Violent felons should probably be prohibited from possessing firearms. All othertheir restrictions should be removed
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
In government schools, there should be a short intensive class for teachers that wish to participate. No teacher should be forced to carry a gun.
