QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I oppose the use of taxpayer funds for any elective medical procedure. It is not the public’s burden to pay for an individual’s chosen medical procedures or medications. We do not have the right to dictate what anyone should do with their body, nor should we bear the fiscal responsibility for their decisions.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Disagree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

The Supreme Court has justly returned this issue to the states, placing it out of the scope of the US Congress. If it returns to the federal legislative branch, the question of when life begins must be addressed. I personally believe life begins at conception. The 14th Amendment’s Due Process Clause means the government can only take away a person’s rights in accordance with laws applied in court.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

No My answer is the same as above.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that the government can not favor, advance not inhibit any one religion above or below any other. It also should prevent the government from creating or recognizing any religion as an official religion of or for our country.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Businesses and their owners should have the same freedom of choice as any individual. We as country of individuals must respect the moral and religious beliefs of others just as we would want our own morals and beliefs respected within the boundaries of the constitution and constitutional law.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States should abstain from foreign conflicts entirely. Nowhere in our Constitution does it mandate involvement in other nations’ affairs, conflicts, or wars. I firmly believe that any legislator advocating for American intervention should be required to serve on the front lines of the conflict they support, ensuring they fully grasp the gravity of their decisions.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

I believe the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party to our military, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and global economics is significantly reduced if we concentrate our military efforts within our own borders. By doing so, we can better protect our citizens, businesses, property, and food supply, ensuring our resources are dedicated to safeguarding our nation from within.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe that Israel, like any other nation, deserves the same considerations and respect that we afford to all countries. It is essential to treat every country with fairness and equality, ensuring that our policies and actions reflect this principle.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

I believe the decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention is due to the adoption of a ‘woke’ ideology and cultural shifts that have diminished national pride. Coupled with the constant fear of endless wars that do not resonate with citizens, this leads to fewer individuals willing to serve. Many are not willing to risk their lives and time for causes they do not feel invested in.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NONE! Full Stop.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished. However, we have created a society of dependency over years of government neglect. This must be slow rolled back to sum of zero with the exception of those born with disabilities that will not allow them to earn an income to acquire private disability insurance.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Here are a few actions I would take to help Americans retain more of their income and wealth: oppose subsidies for inefficient green energy, halt omnibus bills, impose percentage reductions on budgets not passed by the deadline, defund endless wars

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Student loan forgiveness was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. The principal amount must be repaid as it came from taxpayers. However, I support forgiving the interest, provided student loans are privatized going forward. This would ensure greater accountability among students, lenders, and educational institutions regarding the value of education.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

ESG policies can disadvantage American businesses by imposing additional costs and regulations, making them less competitive globally. Pushing companies towards less economical green energy can strain resources, reduce profitability, and hinder innovation. This government pressure risks undermining economic growth and job creation, while competitors in countries with fewer restrictions gain an advantage.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

Yes, the U.S. should enhance border security in all directions. However, securing our borders does not mean closing them. We must ensure that individuals with noble intentions can still enter, provided they undergo proper vetting to ensure the safety of our current citizens

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The United States was founded on the principle of immigration, and we must uphold this value. Any person from any nation should be allowed to immigrate, provided they can support themselves and are willing to integrate into the American way of life while obtaining citizenship.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling. These options offer numerous benefits such as improved safety, increased parental satisfaction, tailored education, opportunities for low-income families, higher graduation rates, taxpayer cost savings, and competitive pressure that encourages public schools to improve through competition.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

I support the elimination of the U.S. Department of Education. Since its inception, the U.S. has dropped from first to twenty-sixth in global education rankings. Our children’s education should be managed at the state and local levels, allowing parents, rather than the federal government, to have greater control and influence over their education.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Redirecting funds from police departments to community programs can negatively impact minority communities during looting and rioting by reducing the immediate availability of law enforcement resources. This can lead to slower response times, increased vulnerability, and a heightened risk of property damage and personal harm, ultimately undermining community safety and stability.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None, reducing gun restrictions can lead to faster response times in emergency situations. Law enforcement officers cannot be everywhere at once, and in many cases, the first line of defense against a violent crime is a well-armed and prepared citizen. By allowing more people to carry firearms, communities can benefit from a decentralized and immediate response to threats, potentially saving lives and preventing further harm.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

The only reason to pack the Supreme Court is to receive judgments along a desired party line. This undermines the fundamental purpose of the Supreme Court, which is to interpret the Constitution impartially. The Court’s role is to ensure that laws and policies align with the Constitution, safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all citizens.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to serve the will of the people, ensuring their rights, freedoms, and well-being are upheld within the constraints of the Constitution. It must prioritize the needs and aspirations of its citizens over the agendas of any political party. By adhering to constitutional principles, the government maintains its legitimacy and fosters a society where democracy, justice, and equality can thrive.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

While I agree with this due to my Christian values, we cannot maintain a separation of church and state while basing any contract on religious values.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Once a child reaches adulthood, individuals should have the freedom to make decisions about their bodies without fear of judgment. Protecting children while respecting adult autonomy is crucial for a just society.”

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Using taxpayer funds for gender transition services sets a precedent for funding any form of body enhancement. This opens Pandora’s box, potentially leading to demands for public funding of elective procedures like cosmetic surgery. Such a policy could strain public resources and divert funds from essential services, raising concerns about the appropriate use of taxpayer money.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Christian who fails miserably every day. I will never forget the feeling I had the day I gave myself over to God at a Promise Keepers event in Detroit, Michigan. Since then, I have not been a regular churchgoer, as I find that churches often stray from the word of God in fear of losing parishioners to political correctness. The best worship I have ever experienced was behind a rodeo arena with a group of sinners like myself. While it’s good to have religious values and beliefs, we must remember that in government, we have the separation of church and state, and decisions should be based on constitutionality.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo ID is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of our election system. It helps prevent fraud and ensures that each vote is legitimate. Additionally, we require identification for numerous everyday activities, such as purchasing goods, traveling, and accessing services. Implementing photo ID for voting aligns with these common practices, reinforcing trust and confidence in our democratic process.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College best represents the will of the people by balancing the influence of both populous and less populous states. It ensures that all regions of the country have a voice in the election process, preventing a few densely populated areas from dominating the outcome. This system promotes a more equitable representation of diverse interests across the nation, aligning with the principles of federalism and protecting the rights of smaller states.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical Race Theory (CRT) can be seen as promoting racism by emphasizing racial differences and perpetuating a focus on race in societal issues. Critics argue that CRT divides people into categories of oppressors and oppressed based on race, which can foster division and resentment. Instead of promoting unity and equality, CRT may inadvertently reinforce racial stereotypes and tensions, hindering progress towards a truly inclusive society.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison. Recent cases of school board coverups of sexual assaults in school bathrooms and prison assaults by males identifying as females in women’s prisons highlight the need for clear policies. These measures are essential to safeguard the privacy and security of biological women.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

Man-made climate change is significantly driven by China not being held to the same responsible manufacturing standards as the United States. China produces more CO2 emissions than any other country, putting the U.S. at a substantial economic disadvantage. This disparity hinders the U.S.'s ability to compete with Chinese manufacturing while exacerbating global environmental issues.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Hydro-electric and nuclear power are among the safest and most efficient energy sources. The U.S. has numerous opportunities to enhance energy production by utilizing existing dams not currently equipped for hydroelectric power.
