QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None. The most common options are rape, incest and life of the mother. For life of the mother, there are no such circumstances where an abortion would be faster or safer. For conditions caused by pregnancy which could result in the death of the mother, it is always faster and safer to deliver the child. Abortion is never the better option. For Rape and Incest, abortion is a tool of the offender. Further, it is illegal to kill the offender. It is illogical and inconsistent to kill the child.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

side effects from such drugs are documented. All medical procedures should involve medical doctors assessing a patient.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

The funds should be restricted to services actually provided which is not the case with Planned Parenthood.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

The potential for abuse is too great and the result is not reversible.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Abolish it. Minimum wage causes inflation and thus raising it to chase inflation on exacerbates the problem.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. The First Amendment is clear that the government has no such authority. The actions taken by people can be addressed by the government but authority to close an institution by the government does not exist.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Clearly a first amendment protection to not have to take an action which someone finds objectionable.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

A progression from C to D. At this the current juncture, implementing D would cause catastrophic results. However, leaving C as is will also result in catastrophic results. There needs to be a transition away from Medicaid and Medicare before the systems collapse under their own weight.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. Although I am pro-vaccination in terms of the efficacy of vaccines, it should never be forced upon someone.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

It is very important. Israel is an ally and its people are unfairly targeted by other nations with ill intent. The United States has been an ally of Israels since its reformation. The presence in the middle east is also a significant benefit.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

While I whole-heartedly agree that marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman, society through government has the right to dictate the parameters for marriage. Under this definition, marriage could be between a brother and a sister, or father and daughter or a man to have multiple one man one woman marriages but government has the right to ban such unions. It is also the case that government can specifically allow such unions.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am dedicated Christ follower serving in many different places including our home church of Bayside Community Church. I am staunchly pro-family and pro-life believing that God has structured the family to be the best foundation for man, woman and child. I firmly believe in limited government, a free market, and a protection at the utmost level for liberty. I believe communities should be able to govern themselves within the limited government framework and not be forced to comply with other mandates on a state or federal level.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism has been largely rendered irrelevant. Although there may be isolated instances where people engage each other based on race, there are no systemic issues which disadvantage any race simply because of their race. The reliance on race by the left and the virtue signaling push of the left is more dangers than racism.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

A and C. While there is need for further research into energy production and use and its impact on the environment, trying to save the environment through government ultimately has a disproportionate adverse impact on the poor and rural.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

A combination of nuclear (nationwide) and solar in areas where solar makes sense. Fossil fuels are necessary for the foreseeable future until a cost effective nuclear option can be brought forth.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Security within its jurisdiction, ensure basic fairness within the market, provide basic foundation for infrastructure and transmission of people and goods, such as roads. For local government, education and local security.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I'm aware of none that result in a safe public

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

But it should be the teacher's choice and it should be disclosed that a teacher is carrying to the students' parents.
