RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe that the sanctity of life is paramount and that elective abortions should be limited to cases where the life of the mother is at serious risk. While recognizing the complexity and deeply personal nature of such decisions, I hold that we must prioritize protecting the unborn and supporting alternative solutions, such as adoption, to provide every child the opportunity for life.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I firmly believe that chemical abortion drugs should meet strict safety standards to ensure the health and well-being of women. This includes requiring an in-person consultation with a medical doctor to provide appropriate medical advice and care. Additionally, thorough reporting of reactions and outcomes is essential to gather accurate evidence and improve medical practices. Safety and accountability are paramount when it comes to any medical procedure, especially one as significant as abortion

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I believe that taxpayer funds should not be used to support abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood. Federal, state, and local government funds, including Title X grants, should be directed towards organizations and programs that promote life and provide comprehensive healthcare services without performing or promoting abortions. This ensures that taxpayer dollars are used in a way that respects the values and beliefs of all citizens, particularly those who oppose abortion.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I believe that the minimum wage should be determined at the state and local levels rather than mandated by the federal government. This allows for flexibility and responsiveness to the unique economic conditions of different regions.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

No, I believe that investment decisions for public monies should be based on financial returns and fiduciary responsibility rather than environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings. The primary focus should be on achieving the best possible financial outcomes for taxpayers. While environmental and social issues are important, they should not override the responsibility to maximize financial returns and ensure the prudent management of public funds.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I believe that the government should not have the authority to close churches, as this infringes on the fundamental right to religious freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment. The only potential exception would be in extremely rare and dire circumstances where there is an immediate and proven threat to public safety.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I disagree with mandating a vaccination. The vaccinations during the Covid Pandemic were not even proven to be effective. I do realize in the case of an outbreak with a proven effective and safe vaccine that it could be necessary to gain control.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, the United States' relationship with Israel is extremely important. Israel is a key ally in the Middle East and a democratic partner that shares many of the values and interests of the United States. The alliance promotes stability in the region, enhances security cooperation, and fosters economic and technological collaboration. Supporting Israel also underscores our commitment to democratic principles and helps counteract extremist influences and threats in the region.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

I have no issue with immigration as long as it is done legally.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs that protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school—whether public, private, or homeschool. This approach empowers parents to make the best educational choices for their children and fosters a competitive environment that can drive improvements in all types of schools. By supporting school choice, we promote educational diversity and ensure that funding is allocated based on individual needs rather

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the fundamental right to make decisions for their minor children. Parents are best positioned to understand and meet the needs of their children, and this right is essential for preserving family autonomy and ensuring that decisions are made in the best interest of the child. Respecting parental rights is crucial for maintaining strong family structures and upholding personal freedoms.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Taxpayer funds should not be used to provide gender transition services. Public funds should be allocated to essential services that benefit the broader community, such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Personal medical treatments and services related to gender transition should be funded through private means or individual insurance, rather than through taxpayer dollars.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

This definition reflects deeply held values and traditions that should not be altered by government. Upholding this definition respects the foundational institution of marriage and aligns with the principles of religious freedom and personal beliefs.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual beliefs and values are rooted in a deep respect for traditional Christian teachings and principles. I believe in the importance of faith in guiding personal conduct and decisions, emphasizing values such as integrity, compassion, and respect for the sanctity of life. My faith underscores the importance of family, community, and the moral foundation provided by religious teachings. These beliefs guide my approach to public service and inform my commitment to upholding values that align with my faith and respect for diverse perspectives.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I believe that photo identification should be required to vote. Ensuring that all voters provide valid identification helps maintain the integrity and security of the electoral process. It prevents voter fraud and ensures that each vote cast is by a legitimate, eligible voter. Upholding strong identification requirements is essential for preserving public confidence in our elections.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College is a fundamental part of our federalist system, ensuring that all states have a voice in presidential elections and that smaller states are not overshadowed by larger ones. Preserving the Electoral College is essential for maintaining the balance and integrity of our electoral system and ensuring that every state has a meaningful role in choosing the President.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a serious issue that affects individuals and communities, but its impact on domestic security must be understood in context. While racism itself is harmful and unacceptable, addressing it should focus on promoting equality and justice rather than framing it as a direct threat to domestic security. Ensuring that all individuals are treated fairly and that our laws protect against discrimination is crucial.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

While acknowledging that racism and discrimination have existed and continue to be challenges, I believe that CRT's broad and sweeping claims do not reflect the progress and opportunities available in our society. Instead, we should focus on promoting equal opportunity, fostering dialogue, and addressing specific instances of injustice through constructive and collaborative means.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Protecting the fairness and privacy of women's spaces is important, and maintaining separate categories based on biological sex ensures equal opportunities and safety for all individuals. Respecting these distinctions is crucial for upholding fairness in sports and safeguarding privacy in sensitive spaces.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

I believe that we need to protect our environment to ensure there is a place for our children and children's children to live. I do believe that A) and C) are true and that we need to make very smart choices when creating any new laws or regulations and really ensure that the outcome will be beneficial and jobs will not be lost.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I believe that nuclear energy is the most reliable energy source to meet the growing demand for electricity. It provides a stable and consistent supply of power with low greenhouse gas emissions.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government is to uphold and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens, ensure the rule of law, and provide a framework for a stable and prosperous society. Government should focus on maintaining public order, protecting property rights, and creating an environment where individuals and businesses can thrive.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

To protect public safety while respecting the Second Amendment, any restrictions on gun ownership should be narrowly tailored and focus on preventing access by individuals who pose a genuine threat. This includes ensuring background checks for those with felony convictions or severe mental health issues, while avoiding broad or overly restrictive measures that infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Teachers should be allowed to carry guns at school under specific conditions, such as receiving proper training and meeting stringent requirements. Allowing teachers to be armed can enhance school safety and provide an additional layer of protection against potential threats. However, it is crucial to ensure that any program for arming teachers includes rigorous training and clear guidelines to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
