QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
This is not an issue the government should be involved in. Patients and doctors should make these decisions without interference from outside sources.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Choose not to answer
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Planned parenthood provides many services to low income women that would not get care without planned parenthood. This includes education, contraception, counseling, and cancer detection procedures.
ECONOMY
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
Yes we should consider what effect the investment will have on our society and spend tax payer money wisely to benefit the most people or fill the greatest need.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
The minimum wage has not been increased in 28 years. We need to raise our minimum wage to a living wage with automatic cost of living adjustments so KY residents are not being exploited by billion dollar corporations.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Ky should do more to encourage small business and not allow monopolies that reduce competition and encourage price gouging.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
A small business non essential business should have more leniency than a large corporation. For example, a baker refusing to bake a cake for a wedding because of not agreeing with lifestyle, is not the same as a pharmacist refusing to fill an insulin prescription due to Scientology. I believe business practices based on bigotry will bring consequences on their own.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Jonestown comes to mind. If a church is teaching radical terrorism and plotting to do harm then they should be closed down. Anything short of that, never. However, if a church is campaigning or preaching politics, or telling people how to vote, they should lose their charity status and pay taxes.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccinations have been used safely to protect the public health for over 50 years. The antivaxx movement has lead to children getting polio and other preventable diseases with lifetime effects. I believe all students and teachers should be vaccinated
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I want to see Medicare and Medicaid expanded.
NATIONAL SECURITY
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
They are our strongest ally in the Middle East. I disagree with how the conflict and ceasefire has been handled. However, I'm not receiving top secret briefings everyday. If I had all the information, I might feel differently.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
I read the bipartisan border bill that was submitted in the Senate. I thought it was a brilliant piece of legislation, as did the border patrol. Too bad the Republicans and Trump wasn't really serious when they said they cared about the border.
EDUCATION
I support a constitutional amendment that would allow Kentucky’s General Assembly to set up a school choice program to allow dollars to follow children to the school of their choice.
Strongly Disagree
KY republicans have cut funding for public schools every year since 2015, and now they want to blame the schools for doing poorly. I want to fully invest in public education, universal pre K, after school programs, PE, music and vocational programs. Parents already have a choice, if they want a different model than they should pay for it.
VALUES
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Agree
Parental rights are a fundamental right, and parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
If you are asking me if a parent has the right to force a child to have a sex change, I disagree. If you are asking me if a parent has a right to compromise a child's health by denying basic healthcare and vaccinations, I disagree. If you're asking if a parent should be able to give consent for an appendectomy then I do agree.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Disagree
Gender dysmorphia is a real diagnosis which requires counseling and a psychiatrist care. If the diagnosis was given and a medical recommendation is made, the patient and family should make those decisions. The government should stay out of our doctors offices. Exposure to the fact that not everyone is exactly the same as you or has different views is not dangerous for children. Teaching kids to hate others others based on this belief is dangerous.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Agree
If that patient qualifies for Medicaid, Medicare or is on other government plans, yes. No, I'm proposing a special grant or free money. This is a mental and medical health issue and the government needs to stay out of our exam rooms.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, and my relationship is private.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Separation of church and state means it is either legal or god ordained. Not both. You can have you church ceremony legally recognized as a marriage, But, it is not your religious private property.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Everyone who gets a personal ID or driver's license or permit (if 18), should be automatically registered to vote and updated voter information every time they move. Anyone who wants to register and does not have an ID, should be able to get registered by submitting the same documents required to get a personal ID. The voter id card should have a picture and be free and available at every co clerk office.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
With the exception of trans women. They are not safe in men's spaces because they are women too.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Agree
This is a college level course and is not taught in k-12 classrooms. However, if you have ever read a book written before 1960 you would know that America's past is deeply rooted in racism and sexist ideology that still persists today.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
solar and wind. Sooner or later, we will run out of fossil fuels.
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action and investment in clean energy technology. The investment will be worth the cost and it will lower energy costs for all Americans in the long run. We need to protect the public from excessive pollution and toxic waste from corporations and coal mines. New jobs will be created. Until we have the technology and infrastructure to support it, we will need to rely on what we have now. Everyone's jobs are safe for at least another 20-50 years.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
We the people, in order to form a more perfect union, Establish justice and insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty. The preamble says it all pretty clearly. Protect our rights, stay out of our personal affairs, pursue justice for all of us.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
no
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
no
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I believe in fair taxes and smaller government. Investing in our public institutions like schools and programs that will benefit our people that need a hand up. Such as affordable housing and job training programs. The government should never try to look up a lady's skirt just to make sure or dictate to anyone what type of medical care they can receive, or who they should love and be able to marry. A government that minds it own business is smaller and more efficient. That's a true conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
I believe our police should be fully supported. I believe more of their funding should be directed at detailed background checks and training and education during the hiring process and perhaps revisited upon evaluations or promotion considerations. Also counselors and psychiatric professionals should be on staff to provide free counseling to our officers and support staff as needed. And also to respond to calls when a cop is not the best choice.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I do support red flag laws. I also believe that If your child takes your gun to school for some deadly show and tell, you should be charged with negligent homicide and sentenced appropriately and your possessions should be sold to cover funeral and medical costs of your victims. Your child should also be charged appropriately as well. If we had real consequences then responsible gun owners would actually be responsible about their guns.
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Disagree
Students are traumatized enough without being taught by an armed teacher. Besides, a student or group of students could disarm a teacher that is trying to teach and use that weapon against the teacher and other students. Besides, how many teachers are actually prepared to shoot a student? Fire them please.

Do you support the expansion of gambling in Kentucky?
