RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I firmly believe that life begins at conception. People say that in the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo or fetus is just a ‘clump of cells,’ or to speak of abortion as the removal of ‘pregnancy tissue.’ Yet such rhetoric is ideological, not scientific, aimed at obscuring the undeniable reality that abortion kills a human life and such abortions should only be permitted if the life of the mother is in jeopardy.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortions make up the majority of abortions in the US and studies have shown they are highly likely to have adverse effects. Despite these dangers, the Biden administration and the FDA have sought to create a nationwide mail-order abortion industry. It is vital to the public interest to ensure chemical abortion drugs meet the strictest essential safeguards to protect women from injury and death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to support organizations that provide abortion services. We must prioritize funding for comprehensive healthcare services that respect the sanctity of life and promote life-affirming options to abortion, such as crisis pregnancy centers and adoption.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
As a Christian, I believe that human life is a gift from God. To that end, I fundamentally disagree with any laws that seek to kill people
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise and private property rights are the cornerstones of economic freedom, fostering innovation and efficient resource allocation, essential for a dynamic and prosperous society.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
"Minimum wage is federally set and as a legislator, I would oppose any state or local efforts to raise the minimum wage. Unilateral wage raises cause job loss, hurt low-skilled workers, and increase prices and inflation.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
I strongly oppose using ESG ratings as criteria for investing public monies. These radical practices threaten American prosperity, energy independence, and national security. ESG policies impose high costs on middle-class Americans and impede critical industries in Florida. Investing public funds based on ESG criteria undermines capitalism, forces companies to prioritize ESG over profitability and make us more dependent on countries like China for "green" energy.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Anyone with a knowledge of history knows that bad things happen when the government gets too much power over our Churches. During covid the government exercised disturbing intrusions into our freedom to worship. I do not believe the government should have any authority to close churches.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No one should be forced to participate in an activity he or she finds to be morally wrong.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. I support providing health care for seniors which is done through Medicare at the federal level. Delivering healthcare to poor, handicapped and other vulnerables is currently done through Medicaid and it is far from perfect so I do not support Obamacare Medicaid expansion. States have some opportunities in the realm of delivery to improve this federal program and I look forward to that opportunity if elected.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
There are no circumstances that should mandate a person getting a vaccine. I believe there is a moral duty to refuse the use of medical products, including certain vaccines that are produced using human cell lines derived from abortions.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I work with technology companies to protect their intellectual property from the Chinese Communist party. China represents the largest threat to the U.S. and is capable of launching cyberattacks that could disrupt critical infrastructure. We must use the same tools President Reagan used against the Soviets to defeat the Chinese Communist Party - promoting policies that protect critical American infrastructure and increase counter-espianage measures.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The United States' relationship with Israel is crucial; America's safety is linked to Israel's safety. Israel is a key ally in the Middle East, sharing our democratic values and strategic interests. This mutually beneficial relationship strengthens our national security, promotes regional stability, and fosters economic and technological collaboration.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
A nation without borders is no nation at all. We must deliver common-sense solutions to secure the border, combat illegal immigration, stop illicit fentanyl, and protect our communities. This starts with resuming construction of the border wall while ensuring our Border Patrol agents have the technology and resources they need to secure our border. Physical infrastructure and the modernization of our border technology are needed to meet the challenges of a dynamic border-threat environment.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
I believe that Florida is on the right track when it comes to K12 education. The reforms are working, and parents have greater options for their children to get a good education. As the father of three homeschooled children, I believe wholeheartedly that the dollars should follow the students - it’s the parent’s tax dollars first, not the public schools' money.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
The Left has been ripping away parents’ rights for years and indoctrinating our children with their radical ideology. Schools are being used to push genital mutilation ideology, sexualization, and the lie that men can become women and women can become men. Our children don't belong to the government. We must protect our children by working to protect the rights of parents in their childrens' life and education, and from WOKE politics.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Big leftist government crooks have systematically taken control away from parents. No parent in America needs permission from the government or a school to raise their children. I will always advocate for parents' rights
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
The left is mutilating the very meaning of "sex" to include gender identity and sexual orientation. This is a direct attack on religious freedom and conscience protections to push a radical gender ideology. Americans should not be forced to fund transgender 'healthcare' with their premiums and tax dollars — and healthcare providers should not be pressured to provide these services.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is the lifelong union of one man and one woman that has been created, defined, and established by God, to which he has inherently tied the benefits of offspring and fidelity. Marriage is not established by man; therefore, marriage cannot be redefined by man.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs are deeply Christian, rooted in the rich traditions of the Church. I believe in the fundamental truths of Christianity, which provide a moral compass and a sense of purpose. My values include the defense of the family, the importance of community, and the pursuit of truth. Faith informs my understanding of the world, emphasizing the importance of joy, justice, and the inherent dignity of every person.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voter ID laws stop multiple types of fraud, such as impersonating another registered voter, preventing noncitizens from voting, and stopping out-of-state residents or someone registered in multiple jurisdictions.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The United States is a Republic, and the Electoral College is a critical component of our federal system. The Electoral College ensures that every state has a say in electing our president and prevents places like New York and California from dominating the election process. Abandoning the Electoral College would undermine the balance of power between states established by the Founding Fathers and disrupt the framework that has served our nation well for centuries.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Leftists claim racism is the most dangerous terrorist threat, which is false. The real threats are drug cartels and illegal border crossings, leading to record fentanyl seizures and overdose deaths. Crime rates have soared, affecting black Americans the most. Hard drugs and criminals, not racism, are our greatest domestic threats. Leftists should focus on real issues, not race-baiting.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT asserts that America’s framework is inherently racist and that race is a socially constructed concept used by white people to further their economic and political interests at the expense of people of color. The goal of education is to prepare students to fulfill God’s calling in this world and to attain the eternal kingdom for which they were created. While students are called to become the leaven for society, they are not called to become the social activists that CRT demands.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
When biological men compete in women's sports, they threaten both the safety of female athletes and the integrity of women's sports. Admitting biological males in women's sports gives them access to intimate spaces (locker rooms and bathrooms) where women are vulnerable, and creates opportunities for sexual assault. We must protect our women and girls from this threat.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
American oil and gas is the best in the world - it's clean, safe, and plentiful. Most importantly it keeps us free from our enemies like China who want to cripple our economy and make us reliant on "renewable" energy.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
I am a firm believer that the general purpose of government is to safeguard the unalienable rights of its citizens - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The government derives its power from the consent of the governed. It should be limited in scope, preventing any infringement upon individual freedoms, while ensuring justice and maintaining order.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I believe in promoting economic prosperity through free market principles, reducing government regulation, and supporting small businesses. Socially, I advocate for traditional values, protecting life, and defending Second Amendment rights. In foreign policy, I prioritize an America First policy based on national security interests and maintaining strong alliances. I also strongly support religious liberty, echoing the Founding Fathers' commitment to individual liberty.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
The dangerous and ill-conceived “Defund the Police” movement, police departments nationwide have led to a mass exodus of law enforcement officers who are either resigning, retiring, or relocating. The loss of talented, dedicated law enforcement officers has only compounded the crime crisis afflicting too many of our Nation’s communities. We need to properly fund law enforcement to ensure they have the tools they need to prevent and solve crimes.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
As a hunter and Second Amendment advocate, I believe firearms are essential for protection. Having worked with the NRA and studied the Constitution, I'm a strong proponent of gun rights. Gun control efforts, like banning semi-automatic weapons, threaten our natural rights of self-preservation. The Founders intended the Second Amendment to ensure individual rights, not just for militia members. We must defend our rights against any threats, including government overreach.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Yes, teachers should be allowed to carry guns at school, provided they undergo thorough training and certification. Ensuring the safety of our students is paramount, and trained, responsible educators can act as a line of defense in emergencies. This policy must include strict protocols and comprehensive training to ensure the safety and security of everyone on campus.
