QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Only when medical complications make it the only safe option. There are far too many preventative measures available for abortion to be used so cavalierly, and pregnancy support systems could help women with unwanted pregnancy bring the baby to full term and put up for adoption if that is what the mother wants. The limitless potential of an unborn baby should never be dismissed, and many people would be overjoyed to adopt when the mother does not want to keep the child.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

taxpayers should should not have to support the choices of others that they don't agree with. It is one thing for someone to pay for and get an abortion, it is entirely different when money from taxpayers who would prefer abortion be abolished is involved.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

It can be a contributor to inflation and/or make it harder for businesses to hire people if set to high.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

none, save involvement in activities that go against the constitution or criminal law.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Private businesses have the right to deny services to whomever they choose. If you are employed at a business that goes against your beliefs, then you must either accept that, or change jobs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Healthcare and insurance are frequently conflated. Insurance can be irritating, as it is not always as helpful as it should be. I believe the better solution is to make hospital pricing more transparent, which will encourage the healthcare profession to compete, driving prices down, service quality up, and leading to more innovation as hospitals seek out the best ways to serve the people. This will also allow everyone to figure out where to go to get the best result for them.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. Encourage, sure. Never require.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe so. While their history may not be without blemish, Israel has proved to be a force for good many times. My personal faith also tells me that any who ally with Israel will be blessed.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Through the 12 grades, I had experience with Public school, Private school, and Home schooling. Each has it's merits and shortcomings. The parents should get to chose what school they send their children to. When a student moves from public school to some other option, the public school looses the funding for that student in the current system. It would be far better if that funding followed the student. This would allow parents even more freedom to chose were to send their students

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Young children do not have the ability to understand the implications of some decisions, and will sometimes tell adults what they think will make the adult happy without fully understanding what is going on.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

We don't allow minors to drink alcohol, buy tobacco, lottery tickets and weapons, or vote for very good reason.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

If an adult whats to get gender transition services, that is their right, but they should have to pay for that themselves.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Christian saved by faith in Christ. I follow the teachings of the King James Bible. I also believe in religious freedom, meaning I cannot impose my beliefs on anyone else.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo identification is how we both confirm that a person is eligible to vote and prevent people from voting more than once.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The electoral college prevents lower population areas from being being unheard. An example would be 5 foxes and 4 rabbits voting about if the foxes can eat the rabbits. Without the electoral college, the rabbits get eaten.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I won't deny that there are racists people, but there is not systemic racism.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

A and B apply, but the environment does need to be looked after. If scientists are allowed to continue their research without mandates, they will find better solutions then what are available now, as they have always done. Ive seen many promising projects in the realm of energy technology.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The free market will determine that. I personally think currently nuclear power is the most effective technology we currently have.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect the rights of the people, and set the rules and make sure everyone follows them. The government gets its power from the people, and the constitution is the contract which everyone must follow.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am open minded to new ideas, but also understand the value of old wisdom. The saying "it takes all kinds" applies when trying to make things better for everyone.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

Both community programs and police departments are important. Police need their funding to serve and protect the communities.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Gun ownership is a right that should not be infringed upon unless someone has infringed on others rights. There are already many restrictions in place like permit training classes and background checks designed to protect public safety, some of which go too far.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

When properly trained and willing to accept the responsibility. This would act as a deterrent to criminals who might otherwise see schools as easy targets.
