QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Each woman and pregnancy are different but it is rare that an abortion is needed.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Currently the state does not require an ultrasound before obtaining the abortion pills, and there is a strict gestational age where the pills are not recommended.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

The law that was written was ambiguous and could lead to a very slippery slope as seen in Washington state where insurance companies refused to pay for expensive treatment because assisted suicide was available to the sick person.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

For most new college grads, the way to achieve financial equity and grow their wealth is by working hard, saving part of your paycheck and by owning property.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Private businesses should be able to wages for their employees per their economic business plan, and it should be based on merit and hard work. Increases in minimum wage can lead to lost jobs and businesses cutting hours.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There should be no circumstances where a government can close churches. We have the 1st Amendment guaranteeing our right to practice our religion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Morals and religious beliefs are the backbone that established this county.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Under no circumstances should a government, school, or employer be allowed to violate someones strongly held beliefs about what chemicals go into their bodies.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, because it's the right thing to do. Israel is the only democratic nation in the region and the US has been allies with them since 1948.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

Unless the parent shows an inability to care for themselves and makes poor life choices that are detrimental to the child, then the child would be better with a more stable person.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in One God, the creator of heaven and earth. I believe in his son Jesus Christ, and through Them the Holy Spirit. I believe in truth, justice, law and order and the 10 commandments. I am a practicing Catholic and a RN who cares for all in need.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Agree

If they are a legal citizen and have had their identity and address verified through the county.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The Elector College is the only thing keeping elections fair for all states otherwise the most densely populated states, ie, NY, CA, IL, would rule over the rest of the less populated states. It is a brilliant part of our Republic and allows for actual Democratic elections to be fair.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I don't believe so. What is a threat to domestic security in the US is open borders and groups that continually try and take away people's right to defend themselves.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

I believe C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources, comes close to my viewpoint. I believe private enterprise are more equipped to solve any problem. The rush to end fossil fuels, when there isn't a sustainable alternative energy sourse that is cost effective for all citizens, is a bad decision.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Currently it is Coal. We have it in abundance and it is inexpensive. If the US had spent a fraction of amount of money it spent on alternative sources, we may have been able to develop technology to make it cleaner. Nuclear would be my 2nd choice.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

As stated in the Constitution, government should establish fair and impartial justice systems; to ensure 'domestic tranquility' by setting up a framework where citizens are free to live their lives with little interference. The government provides for the common defense of it's citizens from enemies, foreign and domestic. It promotes the general welfare, which does not mean providing a universal income, but helps create an economic system where businesses can thrive. Capitalism.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

The MN Legislature budgeted 70 Million dollars to 'violence interrupters' in Minneapolis. Crime and violence has only increased.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe all gun owners should be encouraged, but not mandated, to take a gun safety class (and I'm sure most do).

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

It should never be mandated. If a teacher is comfortable carrying and has had training in active shooter situations, then I don't see this as a problem.
