RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I agree with allowances for abortion in cases of rape, incest, endangerment of the mother's life, and non-viability. I believe conservatives should support pregnant mothers beyond these circumstances. This support can come from community and private initiatives. Emphasizing these measures, pro-life advocates can better address the needs of mothers and children, ensuring comprehensive support and the promotion of life. Expecting mothers must be supported with love and hope.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree because this ensures women's health and safety. In-person consultations allow for proper health evaluations and tailored medical advice. Mandatory reporting helps identify risks and improve practices. Enforcing these measures is a necessary safeguard to protect women's health.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree because I believe in a small government approach. Government funds should not support organizations providing abortion services, as this involves taxpayer money in a controversial issue. A constitutional government promotes individual responsibility and respects taxpayers' money, ensuring funds are allocated to essential functions only.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I strongly disagree with this because I believe in the sanctity of life and that every life has inherent value. Legalizing assisted suicide and euthanasia can pressure vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and disabled, to end their lives prematurely. It undermines patient-doctor trust, as doctors should heal, not accelerate death.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree that free enterprise and the right to private property are crucial for a productive economy. Free enterprise promotes innovation, competition, and efficiency, which drives economic growth. The right to private property gives people security and motivation to invest and improve their assets. These principles ensure that individuals can benefit from their hard work, creating a thriving economy with plenty of opportunities to grow their wealth.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Minimum wage should not be mandated by the government. Wages should be set by the free market, allowing businesses and workers to negotiate fair compensation. A mandated minimum wage can reduce employment opportunities and raise prices.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG ratings should not be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies. Government should not pick winners and losers based on subjective criteria. Investment decisions should be driven by free market forces and the pursuit of financial returns, ensuring taxpayer money is used efficiently. Introducing ESG criteria can distort the market, lead to political manipulation, and result in poor financial outcomes.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances. Government should never close churches because it violates the fundamental right to religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. The First Amendment ensures the free exercise of religion, and closing churches would infringe upon this essential liberty. Religious institutions provide crucial spiritual support, community, and moral guidance. Even during emergencies, alternative measures should be sought to protect public health without compromising religious freedoms.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Individuals and businesses should not be required to provide services if it violates their moral or religious beliefs. Forcing them infringes on their rights to freedom of conscience and religion, protected by the First Amendment.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
The lack of a free market leads to inflated costs. Medical providers and big pharma charge prices dictated by the government, like $100 for a $1 pill. Medicare premiums could be privatized. The current system is a taxpayer-funded sham benefiting big pharma, lawyers, and insurers. The medical industry is predatory, charging exorbitant prices for basic items. Privatizing and deregulating the medical system into a free market would reduce prices and make healthcare affordable again.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under no circumstances. It infringes on individual freedom. People are free to make their own healthcare decisions as per our State Constitution. Providing accurate info and encouraging voluntary healthcare respects rights and promotes health.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
While acknowledging that the Chinese Communist Party poses certain threats, we must focus on protecting our national interests through strong cybersecurity measures and fair trade practices, rather than military entanglements. Reducing reliance on foreign markets and promoting domestic innovation will fortify our economy and security.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, the United States' relationship with Israel is critically important. Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East, and our partnership is essential for promoting regional stability and combating terrorism. We share common values of freedom, and our cooperation in areas like defense, technology, and intelligence is mutually beneficial. Supporting Israel strengthens our national security and underscores our commitment to standing by our allies.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration to the U.S. should be open to individuals who seek to work, contribute to the economy, and respect our laws and Constitution. The process should be streamlined to reduce bureaucracy while ensuring security checks to prevent threats. Prioritizing skilled workers, those fleeing persecution, and family reunification can benefit the nation. It's essential to balance compassion with the rule of law, promoting legal immigration while securing the borders against illegal entry.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Allowing dollars to follow the child, could ensure parents have the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool. This approach promotes competition, improves education quality, and respects parental rights. By decentralizing education funding, we empower families to make the best decisions for their children's needs while fostering competition and school accountability. Laws governing private and home schools should be minimal to ensure educational freedom.
VALUES
Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.
Strongly Agree
Educational environments must be safe and appropriate for all students. Parents trust these institutions to provide age-appropriate content. By removing sexually explicit materials, we uphold community standards, protect children's innocence, and respect parental rights. If a parent wants to provide this material at home, they have the freedom to do so, but it belongs nowhere in schools funded by our taxpayer dollars.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
We must safeguard their well-being and ensure they grow up in a safe, supportive environment. Schools and public institutions should focus on education free from harmful ideologies. Parents trust schools to uphold these values and protect their children's physical and mental health. It's a parent's right to teach their own ideologies at home but they belong nowhere in public education funded by our tax paying dollars.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parents are the authority over their children's needs and are the only ones who have the final decision on upbringing, education, and healthcare. Government overreach undermines parental authority and disrupts the family unit. Respecting and upholding parental rights ensures children receive the care and guidance aligned with their family's values and beliefs
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Taxpayer funds should not be used to provide gender transition services. I strongly disagree with this use of public money. Government funds should prioritize essential services like infrastructure, education, and public safety. Using taxpayer money for gender transition services infringes on individual beliefs and misallocates resources. Medical decisions, especially those as significant as gender transition, should be personal choices funded privately, not by the public.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
This traditional understanding of marriage is fundamental to societal stability and the proper upbringing of children. Redefining marriage infringes on religious freedoms and undermines the values that have long supported our communities. People are free to choose how they live but they are not free to alter truth.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior and strive to follow His teachings. My faith emphasizes the importance of prayer, scripture study, and living a moral life. I believe in modern revelation and the guidance of living prophets. Family, integrity, and service to others are core values. I believe in the eternal nature of families and the importance of strong family relationships. My spiritual beliefs guide my actions, fostering compassion, honesty, and a commitment to improving myself and my community. These principles shape my daily life and interactions with others
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
People should not be able to vote without photo identification. Ensuring the integrity of our elections is crucial. Requiring photo ID helps prevent fraud and ensures that each vote is legitimate. While it's important to make voting accessible, it's also crucial to maintain the trust and accuracy of our electoral system. States should implement voter ID laws to safeguard the integrity of our elections.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College is fundamental to our constitutional republic, ensuring all states, regardless of size, have a voice in presidential elections. The Compact would undermine this balance, concentrating power in populous areas and marginalizing smaller states. It's essential to preserve the Electoral College to maintain fair representation and protect the interests of all states.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a serious issue, but it is not the primary threat to domestic security in the United States. While addressing racism is important, we must also focus on broader threats like economic instability, erosion of civil liberties, and government overreach. Promoting individual liberty, equal treatment under the law, and personal responsibility are key to addressing societal challenges and ensuring a secure and harmonious society.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I strongly disagree with Critical Race Theory, which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist. CRT promotes division and victimhood rather than unity and progress. Our institutions should focus on equality, opportunity, and individual merit. We should work towards improving our system by promoting education, economic opportunity, and strong family values, rather than adopting ideologies that foster resentment and division
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Allowing this undermines safety, privacy, and fairness for biological women. Women's sports and spaces ensure equal opportunities and protection for women. Policies should respect biological differences and prioritize the rights and safety of women and girls.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C. Overregulation stifles innovation, burdens businesses, and increases energy costs for consumers. We need a free-market approach that encourages innovation and voluntary conservation efforts. Prioritizing American energy independence is crucial for national security and economic stability. I do not believe in the climate change narrative.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
The most reliable energy source is determined by the free market, not government mandates. By reducing regulations and subsidies, innovation and competition will drive efficient, sustainable energy solutions
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
no
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
no
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
All individuals are endowed by their Creator from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death with the rights to Life, Liberty, Property, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The only purpose of government is to protect these rights for all. Wyoming State Platform #1.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Very conservative. I believe in limited government, individual liberty, free markets, and strict adherence to the Constitution. I strongly support religious liberty and the protection of individual rights against government overreach. These values guide my stance on economic, social, and foreign policy issues.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs. Ensuring public safety is a fundamental role of government, and police departments need adequate resources to protect citizens.
2ND AMENDMENT
Please express your views on the 2nd Amendment.
It is evident that the framers of the Constitution did not intend to limit the right to keep and bear arms to a formal military body or organized militia but intended to provide for an "unorganized" armed citizenry prepared to assist in the common defense against a foreign invader or a domestic tyrant. This includes firearms, ammunition, accessories, and the privacy of firearms purchases. Responsible gun ownership defends against threats, ensures safety, and upholds our rights. The Second Amendment guarantees self-defense, family protection, and safeguards against tyranny. I will oppose any encroachments on our Second Amendment rights, push to remove restrictions and work to abolish "gun-free" zones.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
