QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

prevent death of pregnant woman, pregnancy a result of incest or sexual assault, if unborn has a lethal fetal anomaly

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

This is not earthly man's decision

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

The marketplace will sort out wages that are offered and accepted. State government can safely stay out of this one.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

No circumstances, First Amendment

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

Private business - kind of like the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" sign in the cafe.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Something around c, but not exactly as it is written above - the VA is taxpayer funded. Definitely not a or d.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Times have changed. I had the polio vax as a child in order to attend public school. Today, you could lose your job if not vaxed for the political strain of the day - and it hacks me. Polio, Hep, TB, Typhoid, Tetanus, Measles, Yellow Fever...ok

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

strategic importance and historical ties

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

LEGAL immigration is fine - what made the country. ILLEGAL / open border NOT fine. The former procedure was to apply, be background checked, have a reason, meet w St Dept, wait for years and then come in - not a free-for-all. The local priest just became a citizen after 9 years of doing things by the book. Certain skill sets can obtain work visas - ok, but still not a free-for-all

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Choose not to answer

The way the Q is written is counter to the Wyo Constitution, Art 7, Sec 8 which prohibits public money funding a "private" school. If the word "private' was not in the Q, then I would have answered Agree. I hope my explanation is included with my 'no response'.

VALUES

Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.

Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.

Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, is my Lord and Savior. I am saved by the Grace of God.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. If you do not see any racism, you need to gin some up (media). People can get along if left alone and have a job with commensurate pay. The 1950's are over. Most young people really are color blind - but racism can sway voters so "let's go find some" (politics)

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

c for sure, definitely not d. a and b are too concrete in the way they are written. Dumping crap in a river is not acceptable so is the law preventing crap dumping in a river worth the cost? Yes, especially to those living downstream. Are all environ laws worth the cost? No. Are some jobs lost w the ridiculous laws? Yes, but if John Doe lost his job by dumping crap in a river, then a) is negated. I do not want to wreck the planet but follow the money on some of these hairbrained ideas - bogus

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Most Reliable: COAL by a longshot, followed closely by NG...but the feds need to get out of the way. If energy sources were on a level playing field, the renewables would never see the light of day - follow the money. Nuclear has a chance if allowed

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Protect, Provide and Invest. Protect citizens from violence - LE, FD, Military, Courts. Provide services individuals cannot effectively provide themselves, road / bridge...FAA. Invest in citizens to enable them to provide for themselves - education. Otherwise, stay out of the way of private business.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Please express your views on the 2nd Amendment.

As a brand new 2LT in the US Army, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the US against all enemies, foreign and domestic.... Last check, the 2A was part of the Const - so yes, I support the 2A...which was included to protect the citizens against the gov.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
