QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
The school should act within both law and established policy when notifying the Student's parents/ Guardians of any medical issues, conforming to NC State law and the Parent's Bill Of Rights.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
It is my conviction that all life is precious and sacred in the eyes of God and we have a natural responsibility to defend life, especially the lives of the most vulnerable.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Throughout history, no other form of market has secured individual liberty and raised more populations out of poverty than the Capitalist free market economy.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Government itself is funded with tax payer dollars. Any such funds should never be used to install socialistic or anti-American indoctrination in the public school curriculum. Funding for higher education should face scrutiny with money portioned to schools which demonstrate the ability to train and educate graduates who are able to excel in business or in technical fields against their peers in other countries. We should be funding real education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No American citizen should ever be deprived of their God given rights without due process of law. Where there is a conflict of strongly held religious or moral conviction, it is the cornerstone of the American way for a citizen to be able to say no without fear of government reprisal. .
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Our local school systems should be institutions for well rounded, superlative education, not centers for radical social experiments.
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Educators are in the classroom to teach and students are in the classroom to learn. Discipline is essential for any learning, growth or development to occur. Disruptive behavior or blatant disrespect have no place in the classroom.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
Stated simply, tax-payers have a right to know where their money is being spent. The community at large has an automatic vested interest in the education of its youth as todays students are tomorrows leaders, educators and community members.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
It's time that we return to the principles which made America the greatest country on earth. The trend of demonizing America and its founding fathers needs to come to an immediate end. Children should be taught about American exceptionalism and the sacrifice of the brave service members who came before to ensure we could live with liberty and peace today. Children need to understand that the United States is worth fighting for and why.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
I will not support any form of cultural Marxism. I believe when God created the human race, he made us diverse to accomplish His will. I believe in the American Dream which can be accomplished by anyone willing to work for it. You cannot guarantee outcomes. That does not happen anywhere in nature. You can provide a safe environment for education of youth in order to give our children the best possible chance at a good future.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
If a member of the public flags (challenges) a book as inappropriate and the school board disagrees, should the board impose a moratorium on when the book can be challenged again? If yes, for how long?
The local school board should, at a minimum, set policy to address the public's concerns, especially in the realm of material made available to children. One possible solution to this issue would be forming a committee of board members, educators and parents to review any questionable material and make recommendations on possible remedies.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
American History, Civics, Mathematics, Science, physical fitness, vocational learning, Personal Finance, information technology, language arts, art and music
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Equality of opportunities
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
B. Parents should also have the right to see the entire course on request.
Who should make decisions about whether or not a book is appropriate for children? A) the elected school board members; B) an outsourced community committee
A combination of impartial community members, Board members and parents should form a committee to review questionable materials and have authority to remove materials which are against the local community standards.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord in 1996. I am convicted that this life belongs to Him and I am accountable to Him for its stewardship. I was a sinner when the Lord found me, and now I am a sinner saved by His grace. As He leads, I will follow and no matter what, I'm going to trust Him. I was raised in an independent Missionary Baptist Church and I carry, read, study and pray with the King James 1611 version of the Bible.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
I am absolutely opposed to the false notion that a child has any concept of the ramifications of such brutal and evil ideology in pre-adolescence. These pseudo-medical practices are wrong and inhumane and no human being should ever suffer through one of these procedures.
If sexual education is taught in schools, what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
My understanding is that most sex education curriculum begin with 4th grade level, but all such courses should be taught only with the consent of the student's parent or guardian.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
The cornerstone of society is the family. Government did not institute marriage. God instituted marriage for the purpose of procreation.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Parents do not forfeit their God given rights simply because they send their child to school. In America, I can have my beliefs and you can have yours. We do not have to agree, and in America, we cannot be forced to agree. We can and should act civilly toward one another. The First Amendment guarantees the right of an American Citizen to believe how they so choose.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The Children belong to their parents/ guardians, not the state. Parents have the rights to these records as part of their greater responsibility to care for their children.
School children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows and explicit materials with pictures of sex acts and graphic language.
Strongly Agree
Should schools be giving instruction on how to engage in sexual acts, the pleasures of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or should they instead focus on educating students about the science of reproduction?
Only focus on the science of reproduction.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The right to vote is and should be a sacred honor and duty for American Citizens to choose their representatives. That right should belong ONLY to American Citizens. It's basic common sense that a voter should be required to prove who they are at the voting booth.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
We must stand up for women and a woman's right to exist.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I believe in the biblical principles of fiscal responsibility, stewardship and discipline. I believe an individual should be able to improve their chances of success in whatever endeavor they work diligently to pursue, and any promotion or advancement should be based on merit and ability and never on the basis of gender or race.
2ND AMENDMENT
The right to bear arms is fundamental and must be protected.
Strongly Agree
The Bill of Rights codify an American Citizen's God given rights. Our rights are given by God, NOT government. The right to be armed is an American citizen's guarantee against tyranny and any group, power or nation that would seek to take away our liberty and our freedom. Yes, the Second Amendment must be protected in order to pass on the blessings of liberty to the next generation.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. Responses to any such situations must be made with common sense and logic, and absolutely in no way, shape or form even bare a passing resemblance to infringement on our God given rights. I will never agree to any lockdowns or "mandates" or any other clear violations of the United States Constitution.
