RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe that decisions regarding elective abortion should be made between the patient and their healthcare provider. Each individual's circumstances are unique, and it is important to respect personal autonomy and professional medical judgement in these matters. Ensuring access to safe and legal abortion services is crucial for supporting the health and rights of individuals.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
From my perspective, such measures can create unnecessary barriers to access. Many individuals have successfully used these medications through mail with appropriate guidance and support. Ensuring access while maintaining safety is important, but the focus should be on providing options that are practical and respectful of individual circumstances.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Neutral
The realities of free Enterprise come with both challenges and benefits. We should incorporate elements of both free enterprise and government regulation to protect consumers and workers, give consumers a wide range of products and services to choose from, and create sustainable jobs.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I support a livable wage.A minimum wage should be sufficient to cover essential living costs & support a decent quality of life. This approach helps reduce poverty & income inequality while promoting economic stability and fairness in the workplace.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
Integrating ESG considerations helps ensure that investments are not only financially sound but also align with broader societal values and sustainability goals. This can mitigate long term risk, promote responsible business practices, and support positive social and environmental outcomes.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Freedom of religion is a fundamental right. In extraordinary situations, such as during a public health crisis, or national emergency, governments might implement temporary measures that could affect places of worship to protect public safety. Any such actions should be carefully balanced with respect for religious freedoms and be temporary in nature.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
While individuals and businesses should strive to avoid discrimination, there are complex issues when it comes to providing services that may conflict with personal moral or religious beliefs. Healthcare providers come to mind immediately, as they may face ethical dilemmas when their personal beliefs conflict with their professional responsibilities. There should be mechanisms in place to ensure patients receive the care they need without compromising healthcare access.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
A) Healthcare For All!
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I support public health and safety. Vaccination requirements can help prevent the spread of illness and safeguard vulnerable populations. Such mandates should be implemented with clear guidelines and exemptions for medical or religious reasons.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Disagree
Public dollars should primarily support public schools. Investing in public education ensures that all students have access to quality education regardless of their family's financial situation. Public schools play a critical role in providing equitable education opportunities and promote community. I believe in an inclusive education system for all.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Disagree
Children are indeed our most vulnerable and must be protected from abuse. However, gender-affirming care is an important aspect of ensuring the well-being of transgender and non-binary youth. Such care, when provided appropriately, can be lifesaving and support mental health. It's crucial to approach these issues with sensitivity and prioritize the needs and rights of each individual child, while safeguarding them from any form of abuse.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs are shaped by both my Presbyterian upbringing and my Native American culture. I value the teachings of compassion, community, and respect. And this combination guides my principles of ethical living, respect for the environment, and the importance of Community. I am accountable to my CreatorGod, and I appreciate those who believe in a higher being, as such beliefs can encourage individuals to act with integrity and accountability in their actions on Earth.

EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. It undermines social cohesion, fosters division, and can fuel domestic extremism and violence. When individuals or groups are marginalized or discriminated against, it can lead to instability and weaken unity and effectiveness of society. Addressing racism helps to maintain a more secure, inclusive, and resilient nation.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Background checks, licensing requirements that require safety training, waiting periods to prevent impulsive violence, banning or restricting high capacity magazines and assault style weapons, mandating secure storage to prevent unauthorized access, especially by minors. We need to aim to balance individual rights with public safety.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No
We need to focus on comprehensive safety measures, such as improved mental health support, better security protocols, and specialized law enforcement presence, rather than arming teachers, which might increase the risk of accidents and escalate situations.
