Fox News interview - Walz’s speech was the most ‘difficult 17 minutes of my entire life’: John Nagel

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Save the life of the Mother

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

A physician referral is much safer.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

State Money should be spent on Pregnancy resource centers to give woman more choices not less.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Never. It should be a persons right to choose whether they want to attend their church. Not the governments.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China should be barred from purchasing any United State Soil, Grants to American universities should only be as much as to cover tuition and board of their student.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, Israel is first an Aly, they are the only stable democratic country in the Middle east. They are also ridding the world of known terrorists, One in particular that was responsible for the Beirut bombing where many American soldiers were killed

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

c Medicare for those who have paid in. Additional private Insurance company choices for those that wish it.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

When there is an outbreak and the risk is to the majority , People should choose their own risk., We don't want to risk anyone with an unknown vaccine, but polio, mumps, measles and generally and historically devastating diseases' to children

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Its hurting company's, causing many to close. I would rather see no tax on tips, and let the market set wages.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Choose not to answer

Minnesota should have a robust clean energy plan, based on measurable facts. Engineering firms, University's, and working relationship's with energy producers and environmental agencies ,should be used to find affordable ,cheap energy. Providing safe and reliable sources, that are truly clean energy sources.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Build the wall, Arrest and return all illegal aliens to their home countries.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

School choice is paramount to a child's progress. Parents should have the right to choose educational avenues for their children

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Defund the police is a ridiculous stance.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Minnesota gun laws are more than sufficient, However activist judges and prosecutors are ignoring and choosing not to use our current laws

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Only with public approval, previous law enforcement/ military training. Police in schools as liaison officers is a better idea

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Protect us from harm from foreign and domestic threats.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I'm for clean energy, woman having choices, Keeping biological men out of woman's locker rooms. Freedom of speech and religion. Brining sanity ,responsibility and maturity back to government

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

If an individual who is over 18 chooses to have medical surgery that's their choice.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

But not to decide their children's gender. Most kids grow out of it. Puberty blockers, and surgery harming children's bodies is irresponsible and cruel. At adulthood if the child wants to have surgery, then its their decision. Nor should any institution be allowed to take a child from parents to use gender body mutilation

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Each person chooses their path. I can only follow my beliefs, and hope that my actions cause others to choose to be honest, kind, patient and help the less fortunate. I'm a Christian, but I respect all faiths that teach peace and forgiveness

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We need voter id, we need one vote one name.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

This would be unfair to smaller populations

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Growing up in the 1960s I have seen true racism. However racism in the united states today is so much better now than in the past. Everyone needs to be vigilant. there is no room in America for racist activities

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

America since its inception has continued to fight for freedom of all

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Biological Men have no place in woman's locker rooms. Its dangerous and demeaning.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

We need a well thought out energy policy. Not a throw money, knee jerk reaction to activists.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear is the cleanest. However, until reliable, cheap true green energy is developed. We need to use coal and gas.to maintain a reliable source, when solar and wind isn't available .Small nuclear plants can be fitted to gas and coal plants.
