QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
When the life of the mother is at risk
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Education is important to change hearts and minds at this crucial time.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
We should have a two tier system, people under 18 should have a lower minimum wage so more jobs for younger people exist so they can gain experience in the workforce at a younger age. As we raise the minimum wage, we lose more jobs for the people.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
I can’t think of any reason. 1st amendment says people have to right to peaceably assemble
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C – we should continue the current method, while searching for new solutions to privatize this insurance method, through catastrophic insurance and medical savings accounts.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Required vaccinations should be few, and they should have a long track record of safety for current and future generations.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, We should protect Israel’s right to protect themselves.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We should evaluate our job force needs, and select those willing to work in order to provide and protect their families. If our birth rates are falling below a level that is needed to sustain a healthy controlled growth our economy we should increase our immigration. The refusal of the Federal Executive branch to enforce immigration law is unacceptable.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
Agree, But parents should also have the option to fully fund their child’s education without government regulations. State funds are perceived to come with strings attached and with that government regulations of their children education. Parental school choice is the key to a more competitive workforce and nation.
VALUES
Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.
Strongly Agree
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Agree unless they intent to do extreme harm their children physically. Examples include ...honor killings, or children being used for harvesting organs.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Our rights come God, not the government. The Holy Bible is my only revelation of God’s intent and love for all humans. His word teaches us the ten commandments and grace from Jesus' teachings on the sermon on the mount. These laws guide our government so our fellow citizens can live peaceably with each other. Grace guides us to be compassionate and continue to educate ourselves and our fellow citizens to be changed from the inside. My favorite passage is Micah 6:8 "What does the Lord require of you...to ACT justly, to love MERCY, and to walk HUMBLY with your God"
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Dr. King's vision for the future is where people are evaluated based on their personal qualities and moral integrity rather than their race. There will always be a far-left and far-right that want to use race to divide us as a nation. We should always resist these extremes, and be resolved that all people are made in the image of God.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A --- We all want clean water and air at a reasonable cost. We must balance having many sources of energy to sustain our economic future. Over the years, low-cost energy has provided us with much prosperity in this country, and other countries that can obtain it through good government.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
The most reliable energy source is constantly changing as our technology matures. Nuclear (SMR) hold some promise to improve the safety, clean, and minimal waste. But this maybe 50 years away, in the meantime we can’t eliminate Coal, Oil, natural Gas
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
In general, the purpose of government is to protect those being governed so that they may pursue life, liberty and the pursued of happiness. Government is also to provide boundaries so citizens can peaceful live with each other. Various levels of government have different roles. Federal government, State government, and local government has different roles. These 3 groups often try to make laws outside their jurisdictions which should be restricted to their respective constitutions.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
Please express your views on the 2nd Amendment.
We have this clarification in our constitution to protect our property, family, and tyranny of an oppressive government. I strongly support the 2nd amendment.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
This one is difficult for me. I see the side of having personal freedoms, but I'm also concerned that it has been illegal and this substance can be abused. This one requires more thought on my part before I can espouse a side.
