RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

This is a complicated issue. First, an abortion is a medical procedure. Limited circumstances should be considered. This has to be a difficult and traumatic time for a woman. Rape, incest and forced intercourse should be a consideration. This discussion should be between a qualified medical practitioner and patient. This should be before the evidence of a heart beat. Late term abortions should only be considered if the life of the mother is in jeopardy. Live births need to protect the baby.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

The patient and her doctor should discuss this thoroughly and in person. Understanding that there can be adverse side effects, long term physical and emotional concerns on the patient that may not be ferreted out without an in-person consultation. Drugs prescribed by the practitioner would be from a reliable source eliminating the concern for the validity of what the patient has been sent. Good counseling and spiritual guidance at this time would be well advised.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Here is a conflict, as planned parenthood provides many other vital services to women in the community. Unfortunately allocating monies away from the abortion process is most likely not going to happen. Using taxpayer money does not make planned parenthood accountable to those who have strong moral and religious beliefs against abortion. We want to make basic health services available to the community, but not services that may end a life.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

There is not a simple answer, nor is there just one answer. Is it our decision to end a life? It's also difficult to watch a family member be in such a painful and hopeless state where there is nothing we can due for them except offer comfort. Having watched family go through Hospice is saddening. How do you decide the best for them. Is our duty to help someone pass peacefully or is our duty to allow them the time they can have. That one you'll have to pray on.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People misunderstand - Capitalism means putting capitol (money) to work freely and without government interference. The ability to earn money and then chose how you use it. The right to have and hold your own home/property without the fear of the government coming in and taking away all that you have worked for. One of our rights - and why many people leave their home country to come here - is the hope of owning their own homes or business. Property creates wealth, and empowers families.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage is exactly that - a minimum wage that a company is allowed to pay its workers and are typically entry level jobs. These are available to be able get a job, learn a skill and develop skills to get a better job. They are not living wage.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

This in itself is a major concern. So who gets to decide if you are the right social type of person. Do you get credit only if your in favor with the governing body that oversees you? In the past these governing bodies were the thought police and were to turn you into the local authority to determine if you were the right type of person for the community. If its public monies, then it's my money. Read Orwell's 1984 or watch the movie. Remember - there will become a time your not woke enough.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. No exception - period. The 1st amendment guarantees the right of free speech no matter how someone thinks speech should be allowed. We separated from England so we could have a separation of church and state, keeping in mind we have always held Judeo Christian values as part of our founding principles. Who gets to decide which churches should be allowed? Nope - not to happen. Caliphates are a political/religious governmental control of some countries and typically a disaster.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Having morals and religious beliefs is what America is about. If a person has strong beliefs about another persons beliefs that are in conflict with theirs, then they should have the right to chose not to offer their expertise or business services to them, provided that there are other people or companies that offer same or similar services. Totalitarianism is not free enterprise. Having an artistic ability is your ability and you shall not be sanctioned for following your beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

In a country as fortunate as ours, healthcare should be available to everyone. The cost to provide health care needs to be apportioned to the user based on ability. Low deductibles are imperative. Private health care can be available to those that want to have better sources of health care which is paid for by private insurance. Medicaid and Medicare should be available to those in need and over the age of 62. Medicare needs to include coverage for hearing, dental and vision.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Some questions have multiple answers. Polio, measles, smallpox etc has been virtually eradicated due to the development of vaccines. When tested and proven, vaccines can protect society as a whole, then the overall need for vaccines is compulsory.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China has an overall goal and that is to be the number one dominate power in the world. They will continue to develop their military to become also dominate. Cyber security is the weapon of tomorrow and they have already been suspected of interfering in our world of electronics. The Chinese have already bought billions of dollars of our debt. They will force us to become subservient to them if were not be able to repay this large debt.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel has been Americas strongest ally in the middle east for many years. They are the stability that holds the middle east together. The current Hamas war is very similar to what the Nazis did. Hamas uses civilians as human shields just as the nazis. The Iranian hostages are most likely all dead, otherwise there would be hostage exchanges. Humanitarian supplies are intercepted by Hamas, leaving the Palestinians to suffer and die. Without Israel defending itself, the middle east would collapse.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The southern border is a dismal failure especially over the last three and a half years. 10+ million illegal aliens have come across the border. They have been told they can get into America if they come. Fentanyl is now the number one killer of Americans between the age of 18 and 34. It flows from China up through the southern boarder killing over 100,000 Americans every year. During the four years of the Vietnam War - in combat - 52,000 Americans were killed. How many lawns do you see in NY?

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

This is a difficult question. Many of our teachers are top notch educators. The McCleary ruling says that education is to be 100% funded. So where is the money? Why then are there so many support personnel being laid off? Now tell me that with a straight face when the state has a budget surplus of over 1 billion dollars or more. We need to provide quality education to all students. We need to rescue them now at an early age, or as a society we'll be trying to rescue them when they are adults.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Everyone is binary. There are only two genders which are assigned at birth. We must protect our kids from grooming, and being programed so they can be changed into something they can't be. Mutilating a 12-year-old girl or a 10-year-old boy is horrendous and barbaric. Allowing schools to remove a child to an undisclosed location for over 3 days is horrific. Lunacy. Grand parents: they are coming after your kids and grandkids. We can stop this now but it is going to take a stance against the woke.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

If you have ever hated your parents, been angry that you can't be other than what you are, does not mean your parents are actually terrible. Maybe you're just growing up. Parents need to maintain the right - without interference - to make decisions for their minor children. Concealing that a 13-year-old is going to have an abortion, that a 12-year-old is going to undergo surgery to remove their genitals - needs to punishable as a felony and that person needs to be removed from society.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not! if your 21 years of age and want to mutilate yourself, God help you. If you chose to do so you pay for it all yourself. Taxpayers do not need to pay for your illness. Giving a child hormone blockers for the purpose of trying to block their development as a boy is criminal. Children's hospitals should lose their accreditation for allowing procedures in that hospital. We support Children's Hospitals to help children that are sick, injured or have special needs, not to destroy them.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

This is a tough decision. Being gay or lesbian is a life choice. This has implications outside of the religious realm. Being a legal couple allows you to be with your partner in their time of need. This gives them the ability to have the same responsibilities as a married couple towards each other. This allows them to manage each other's financial business in times of incapacity. The legal benefit in allowing a common union is more than just a religious concern.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have a belief that yes - there is a supreme being - a God. I believe that there is a right and wrong, a good and evil. I try to treat everyone fairly and with respect. I wanted my children to grow up to be loving and caring - and thankfully they all have and are good people and family oriented. If you have a different belief system than me or maybe no system at all, that's ok, I still have mine. I don't expect you to try and destroy my beliefs, so don't. If being reborn in the spirit is something you have and believe, then we are united together in Christ.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting needs to be in person and you need to have: 1. registered voter card with a photo ID on it. 2. go to the polling station and show your ID card that has your photo on it. Be a legal US Citizen. Voter registration is actually very easy. If you can't get to the poling station there are many volunteers who will help you get to and from the polling station. Make it an adventure and do the number one thing you can do to preserve this wonderful country - get out and exercise your right to vote.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely NOT! This is probably one of the greatest provisions developed by the founding fathers and is part of our constitution. What foresight they had. If this was all about popular vote then the largest five states by population would rule this country. If you chose to live in a state with a significantly less population or in a rural area, everything you wanted or needed would be controlled by those five states. You nor your vote would matter.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Absolutely not. The race baiters and race mongers are destroying this country. Americans have been living in harmony for many years. The Al Sharpton's are continually telling people they are being suppressed, demeaned. DEI is the greatest devastation to minorities since the 1930's and affirmative action. Why is the southern border open to illegals? That is because the minorities have become educated and affluent and no longer buy into the liberal/woke ideas. Liberals need to hold people down.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Fundamental racism in this country is over - oppression by the liberal left is drowning under its own weight. The 1619 project is a bag of lies. The number of black slaves in north America never reached the number of white slaves in the northern hemisphere. Portugal was the greatest black slave traders in history. America fought a civil war to end slavery. Fact: NY City was preparing to succeed from the union so they could keep doing business with the south.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Biological males should be banned from all women's spaces, sports, bathrooms, showers, locker rooms, and personal spaces. Bio men have a greater physical advantage over women. Young women have their dreams and aspirations destroyed by mentally ill males. Those who have allowed this into our schools and sports, at all levels, should be removed immediately from their positions and banned from returning. There is no justification from allowing a mentally ill male to infringe on women in anyway.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

We must all be good stewards of our environment. Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. Destroying the health of our country to over regulate our businesses, developments from functioning for the betterment of all. Over regulation does more to hurt the earth than bettering it. Good management of our resources will allow us to prosper for many years to come. Fearmongering climate change paralyzes people. More people die every year from cold than heat.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Clean and safe energy is actually nuclear energy. With the advancements in nuclear power, the globe could be able to sustain itself for hundreds of years and help clean the air, water and provide safe and healthy living.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The basic purpose of government is to provide for the safety of its citizens, protect its borders, help it develop safe and effective living standards. The number one purpose is to maintain a safe and protected border to keep and protect its citizens.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I believe I am a physical moderate conservative. The extreme debt the current government has created is what we know as the fiscal debt. The real underlying debt is worse is the federal balance sheet. Its what the government borrows and pays to maintain its operations. We have shown weakness in the world. A weak man/nation actually causes others to challenge us and threaten our way of life. When your enemy thinks your weak they will test you until they destroy you. Rome didn't collapse in a day.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Defunding the police is/was the stupidest thing we could have allowed. Public safety is paramount. Being able to walk in the downtown core areas is extremely risky. Letting a person who has just committed a crime back out on the street with being detained is Ludacris. Community programs have just burgeoned in size and no real results. Fund the police. Make people account for their actions.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Convicted felons should not be allowed to have a gun. Legal law abiding citizens have the right and responsibility to have and own a gun. Legal gun owners are very rarely found to abuse that right. Convicting people who commit a felony need to be removed from society. The three strikes and your out for a minimum of 10 years would clear the streets of a multitude of felons. Society needs to support their police and allow them to do their jobs.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

The first line of defense to stop a threat in schools is teachers and resource officers. Schools are soft targets as anyone wanting to kill someone knows. When they don't fear you they will attack you.
