To me, "separation of church and state" means that government should not establish or favor one religion over another, and every person has the freedom to practice or not practice their faith without government interference. It protects both religious liberty and individual rights. My personal faith helps shape my values of integrity, compassion, service, and respect for others. As an elected official, I would represent all constituents regardless of their religious beliefs or background.
