QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Elective abortions should be permitted under specific conditions. If a doctor determines the mother's health is at risk, it should be an option. The baby's health and viability are also crucial factors; if the baby is not viable, this must be considered. Respect for religious beliefs is important. In cases of rape or incest, decisions should be made on a case-by-case basis due to the sensitive nature of these circumstances.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive some taxpayer funding, but with conditions. This funding should emphasize providing options like adoption first. I think Although abortion is unlikely to be banned and may eventually be protected, so it's crucial to ensure that all alternatives are explored before proceeding with an abortion and we work with the system to have the best outcomes as I think it's a forgone conclusion

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

As a devout Christian, I don't condone these actions personally. However, supporting these laws can encourage individuals to seek help and counseling, potentially saving lives. Without such laws, people might resort to harmful methods. Unlike an unborn child, adults should have the freedom to make decisions about their own lives, as long as they don't impact others.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I left Rock Michigan 20 years ago because of the Wage Act, predicting negative outcomes that are now evident. While 250 characters aren't enough to fully explain my position, I firmly believe it causes more harm than good. very against it.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government should consider closing a church if it is involved in terrorist activities, cult-like behavior, other criminal activities, or during national weather emergencies such as hurricanes.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

As the husband of a nurse, since it stated this could be public i cant answer it here, but can discus in much much detail

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The government should mandate vaccinations only in severe crises like major Ebola outbreaks. Schools can require standard vaccines since alternatives exist. Employers may mandate them, but must consider religious and medical exemptions.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Neutral

military, cybersecurity, and intellectual property risks to the US. However, our economic interdependence complicates the notion of them being purely economic threats. While they present risks, like any adversary, we have the capability to manage and mitigate them effectively.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is crucial due to the significance of its religious sites for multiple faiths and cultures. It's vital to maintain an alliance to safeguard access for study and communion. Israel is committed to protecting these rights for people of all backgrounds.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. must enhance physical security on both the southern and northern borders. Trafficking, particularly of fentanyl, is rampant in the north, notably in Michigan. Vigorous protection measures are imperative for both borders, especially the southern border, like a military base would protect itself if necessary

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

agree except in cases if harm or gender issues that are not medically required, i mean there could be a lot of exceptions here.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

NOT ONE CENT

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

Marriage, to me, is primarily a religious union ordained by God. While the state may define it differently, that doesn't affect my personal belief in its sacred nature. I prioritize the spiritual aspect over state recognition, as the state lacks authority over religious matters but has control over civil unions.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spirituality revolves around God as the paramount aspect of my life. While I hold this belief dearly, I refrain from imposing it on others or passing judgment, as only God holds that prerogative. I acknowledge the uncertainty in interpreting religious texts and understanding divine will, even with unwavering faith. Above all, I cherish the sanctity of all life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

While racism does exist, it's relatively rare compared to biases driven by culture and class. Media often fuels these biases, which are more prevalent and impactful in shaping societal divisions and perceptions.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

I acknowledge climate change as a legitimate concern, though I question the urgency and extent of human influence. Rushed policy actions risk harming the economy and job market. Rather, we should prioritize sustainable, long-term investments that balance environmental concerns with economic stability.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear power has the potential to play a significant role in addressing energy needs while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We also need to educate people on how safe it actually is as well as how efficient.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government, as outlined in the constitution, is to establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and future generations. However, the bureaucracy's focus often leans towards self-preservation rather than fulfilling these objectives.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Choose not to answer

i can discus this in better detail

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Neutral

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I mean very little i like the line from the Incredibles if everyone is super then no one is. if everyone has a gun, then they become non issues.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes
