RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I do not agree with using chemical abortion drugs. However, if they are to be used, I would support doing so in a safe manner.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
In my opinion, this is a debate of where life begins. If we take a look at this from a logical, reasoning, or biblical perspective, I support the idea that life begins at conception. I want to live in a country where we honor and protect life, even those that can't speak for themselves. The common exceptions espoused online are rape, incest, and life of the mother. These account for <2% of abortions. Let's work to stop the 98% of abortions that fall out of these categories first.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
The Federal government funds too many organizations outside of it's own offices. I believe in moving the decisions down to the State's level, as prescribed in the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. I would support legislation to remove funding from clinics that conduct abortions and allowing unelected officials to decide which businesses get Federal grants.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
1. Stabilize the dollar with proper asset backing = Little to no inflation and stable prices. 2. Tariffs on imports = Improve US competitiveness with foreign agriculture and manufacturing 3. Stop Federal Overreach = Business Innovation and Investment
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Agree
Student loans should be fixed in the tax code. In the early 2000's, the code was updated so that students could not declare bankruptcy on student loan debt. Ever since then, University prices have accelerated far faster than inflation. Essentially, the banks and universities and banks have indebted an entire generation. It is not the duty of the taxpayer to pay off student loan debt. However, legislation needs to be corrected.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
All this means is the government should not establish a central religion. The people have a right to practice their own. Also, someone's faith are essentially the building blocks of their values. Therefore, someone who goes into government with faith is perfectly fine.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccinations should be left up to the individual.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
In the current climate, the option I would pick is B. In the future, we might be able to start changing healthcare and the price of it. Personally, healthcare nowadays is extremely expensive and supported by insurance companies, government funded programs, and investment. Is there a way to lessen the cost of quality care and make it more available? Yes, but it will be a long process. At the end of the day, our goal should be to make it so affordable that insurance isn't needed.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
I would pick C. Let us focus internally and solve American problems first. Since we are the global superpower, I would promote peace mediation if other countries requested help. A total isolationist policy is not feasible with global trade.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Did not answer
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
The causes of decline are; 1. The leader of the nation is an embarrassment to the country. 2. Woke policies have been implemented across the military. 3. Poor management of Afghan withdrawal. 4. Current leadership capitulates to Russia, China, and Iranian forces.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Did not answer
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Interesting discussion here to be had on who should manage marriages...the churches or the government? I don't have a solution at the moment, but this is something should be brought to the table for discussion.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Follower of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Believe in Jesus Christ's resurrection.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Disagree
Climate change and the solutions as presented in modern day media are hokey. There are better solutions than those planned in the Green New Deal. I would work to change the mindset on what solutions are actually viable.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Coal and Natural Gas.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To provide for the common defense of the people, regulate interstate commerce, coin money, and negotiate with foreign nations. Essentially, those enumerated in the Constitution. Government in general is to provide a basic set of services with agreed upon rules (values) that the community will operate on. The government should try and do the least amount possible, allowing the community and people to solve most problems.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
For law abiding citizens, they should be able to hold firearms without penalty or any type of red flag law confiscation. For those who have committed serious felonies (violent crimes) there should be restrictions in place to ensure they are truly reformed.
