QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I absolutely believe in the sanctity of human life and that life begins at conception. There are no circumstances under which I would agree with an elective abortion. However, the reason we have such egregious abortion practices in Colorado is that they were allowed step by step. Sometimes, if all we can do is stop abortions after 10 weeks, or stop them after the heartbeat is visible at about 6 weeks, that would be better than taking no action at all.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortions drugs should not be self-administered alone, not should they ever be available through mail order. Women have experienced hemorrhage and some have died from these drugs. Information must be made available to women that abortion pill reversal is available after the first pill, and before they take the second one.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
The Right of Conscience must not be violated. While this is covered indirectly by the 1st Amendment to the Constitution, Thomas Jefferson is also quoted as writing, in a bill he introduced (and was passed years later) "That to compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical;"
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
We are a Constitutional Republic and we are a Capitalist society. To remove free enterprise and property rights is to convert our State or Nation to Communism.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Legislators should not dictate wages to free enterprise. There might be times, in an abusive situation, when a Judicial solution is needed, but these should be few. The employee is free to contract with a different employer - supply and demand.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Never. Freedom to worship is a God-given right, protected by the Bill of Rights.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
For example, Initiative 89, which will appear on the November ballot, violates our Right of Conscience, both by forcing Coloradans to have abortion enshrined in the state Constitution and by forcing Coloradans who do not agree with abortion, especially late-term abortion, to pay for them. This is both wrong and unconstitutional.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Governments, schools, and employers should not be allowed to require vaccinations, or other medical treatments. Health freedom is essential among a free people.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, we were founded as a Christian Nation, and as such are followers of the Bible. Jesus is the Messiah who came to the Jews first, then to the Gentiles. The nation who blesses Israel will itself be blessed.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
All states are border states, now that the current administration has invited illegal immigration in record numbers. The assaults, human trafficking, thefts, murders, and flood of fentanyl must be stopped. Cooperation with Texas and others trying to stop the invasion is the way forward. President Trump era policies need to be reinstated.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
On the surface, vouchers appear to be a good idea. Unfortunately, government money always comes with strings attached. If schools accept the money, the extreme legislators will make rules and regulations that hinder the original purpose of the private or homeschool. Instead, I would propose tax breaks for homeschoolers and those with children attending private school.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Indoctrination of this type is abhorrent. Federal government should not be involved in education at all. State government only needs to be involved to the extent that all children must have access to education, and a true and accurate accounting of our history, our form of Government, and our Constitution must be studied. Curriculum is to be agreed upon by Schools and Parents. While gender ideology, social Marxism, and DEI has been promoted in our schools basic education has been forgotten.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
This is one of the most important God-given rights. Children are born into families, and are a gift to parents, to raise as their conscience and faith leads them.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not, for all the reasons stated previously.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a Biblical concept. Government has no role in it.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, following the precepts taught in the Bible, and the great commission. I have a Biblical worldview, as did the Founding Fathers of this great nation. Our Constitution has been in place for 237 years, while the average constitution worldwide lasts 17 years.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You need an valid ID for nearly everything from healthcare to attending a concert. Why wouldn't we require ID for voting? It should prove not only who the individual is and where they live, but that they are a U.S. Citizen.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College is absolutely necessary for a free and fair election. The National Popular Vote is yet another form of cheating, by favoring the Democrats in the larger population centers. Election reform, complete with paper ballots, same-day voting, and clean voter rolls is essential.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. Ours has been a non-racist society for many years. It is in the interest of the Marxist-Socialist Left to resurrect racism, in order to divide us, and more easily destroy our nation. Why would they want to destroy their own country, you may ask. Because their allegiance is with the Globalist leaders in Davos and Brussels. Even now they are conspiring to hand our medical freedom to the World Health Organization.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Slavery was a worldwide problem. The United States was one of the very first nations to abolish it. The American dream is accessible to people of all races and cultures. Do not believe what anyone, or any media, is telling you without doing a thorough investigation from different sources. Major media is walking in lock-step, so look further for the truth.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
God made them male and female. There are only two sexes. Cutting off body parts and administering artificial hormones does not alter the XX and XY chromosomes in each cell in the body. Allowing males claiming to be females into restrooms designated for girls has already resulted in rape in schools.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A) and C) are true. The United States has the cleanest energy available. Why would we want to import energy from countries that are not environmentally responsible? We can take good care of our natural resources without adopting lies and fear tactics such as "Climate Change".
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Our rights are given by God. Our government is established to protect those rights. As stated in the Preamble to the Constitution, We the People establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for common defense, promote general welfare and secure liberty. We do not give everything to people, but we provide the right environment, that through diligence, all may succeed.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Our police departments are needed, and should be supported. We also need an Attorney General and District Attorneys who will stop putting repeat offenders back on the streets to commit more crimes.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need to act in accordance with the 2nd Amendment. If guns are restricted, it will only keep law-abiding citizens from defending themselves and others. If guns need to be registered, only law-abiding citizens will comply. Any restrictions placed on gun ownership will not apply to criminals, as they have no interest in complying with the law. Therefore, public spaces are less safe with each restriction enacted. Gun-free zones are a bad idea, and a magnet to those who wish to inflict harm.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Well qualified teachers, proficient in firearm handling, need to be able to protect their students and themselves.
