QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
In our land of the free, people should be allowed to conduct abortions.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
The federal government should continue to hone and improve adoption and foster care services as potential alternatives for abortion procedures. Improving our public education systems, our sex education programs, and expanding access & education for male and female birth controls across the country can help us see the end of abortions.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Regardless of what you believe as an individual, the government serves you.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Choose not to answer
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. We have assumed the role as democracy's muscle around the world. We do not need to be involved in every fight, but we can intervene if we are able to help foreign peoples create a government that works best for them. We must be wiser with how we intervene and improve our methods of engagement so that we do not continue to create enemies in the process of attempting to help.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The United States' relationship with Israel is important. It is our chance to demonstrate our allegiance to an ally, while calling out and correcting inappropriate or harmful behavior.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
As a civilian and not a member of any American military branch, I do not hold an informed answer to this question.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
We are healthier because of vaccines. We have all but ended diseases like Smallpox, polio, measles, tetanus, and the mumps. I am for the continued evaluation of vaccines so that we are using the most effective medicines, and their requirement for use
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. Americans deserve access to care, and a choice in what plan they decide to utilize.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
Re-institute the child tax credit and work to decrease taxes on income while increasing taxes on equity. If businesses pay their employees a living wage, offer adequate PTO, and do not hurt our environment, they should pay less in taxes.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Disagree
I believe our economy hurts more when young and middle aged people have to use their income on student loan interest payments rather than goods & services. If we cap the interest students have to pay, student loan forgiveness will not be necessary.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
If the ratings are designed correctly, they could be an effective tool for ensuring businesses are incentivized to take care of our planet and our people.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Agree
People should not be able to enter the U.S. unidentified. Securing the souther border is expanding and improving port of entry registration and documentation. Securing our border also includes checking EVERY vehicle entering the U.S., as federal officials have reported that most drug trafficking is conducted by Americans using the southern border.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone for any reason, as long as they are not criminals. By Ellis Island, where my grandfather entered the United States, our Statue of Liberty reads, "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." Immigrants pay taxes but cannot access our federal programs with their tax dollars, thereby lifting up our American economy by completing jobs the majority of Americans do not want.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Disagree
The way we can get more for less is by funding public education in America. Students and their families deserve the right to have options between public and private schools, but if we are to advance as united nation, ensuring public education is equivalent to top-notch education is not only possible, but essential.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Disagree
All Americans, regardless of what state they were raised in, deserve a quality education. States and communities can offer input on what schools should offer to students, but the federal government should set the base requirements so that all Americans receive a quality, well rounded education.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Neutral
Because we are not perfect beings, crime will always exist in some form. However, less crime will exist in a society where everyone is well educated, a family only needs one salary to survive and thrive, and our communities build such strong bonds that no one would consider harming one of their neighbors. Creating these conditions at the federal level is how we can spend less on police departments and require less taxes from individuals, in the long run.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Congress should reinstitute the ban on assault weapons, permanently. All gun owners must be required to complete a background check prior to owning the weapon.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Neutral
The Supreme Court should be subject to stricter financial regulations and levels of transparency, given their position in an unelected, lifetime appointment.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Liberal
I want all people to live free from worry over bills, worry over what others think of them, and free from persecution. I believe the federal government's job is to do the most for its people with the least amount of taxes, to ensure people have enough to live and then enjoy their lives how they'd like. As long as we treat those around us with respect and do not harm others, we can and should live as free as we'd like.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To ensure all people within the government have the core necessities of survival. Once the government mets people's basic needs: a great education to get a good job, regulated markets to keep a fair playing field in business, home ownership, etc, and inexpensive energy access, government has set the basic foundation for innovation to thrive.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
In my view, this is where the church has overstepped its bounds into the state. I am a practicing Catholic, and I see Jesus' teachings as prioritizing being in Communion with one another, and allowing love to guide our individual paths.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
This question brings in many different definitions of 'abuse,' making it difficult to address in 500 characters or less. I see my job at the federal level is to protect children from abuse, primarily trafficking, physical and verbal abuse.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Disagree
I am not well versed on this topic, and therefore, need to continue learning more. However, if someone wishes to transition, that is their decision to make and their decision to follow through with.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
We are all one. We all happen to be alive in this moment together. So, why not live in harmony. Why not grow and work together to create better lives for ourselves, but more importantly, for those to come after us. We will disagree. We are not perfect. We will mess up and not get it right every time, but when we are focused on doing right by ourselves and others, as well as on finding the truth together, there is no limit to what we can achieve together.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.

EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Agree
In January and February, the snow piled up on the sides of roads turns from its brilliant white to darkened gray and black color. This is the only time of year we can truly see what we are breathing in every day. Asthma and cancer rates are up, and breathing in fumes from fossil fuels are not helping these issues. We can fulfill our duty of being stewards of the Earth and each other by using energy sources like the sun that will exist forever at no harm to us.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
A mix of sources that will never run out: hydro, wind, solar and geothermal.
