QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

If life begins at conception, and it does, and government exists to protect life, and it does, than elective abortion should never be allowed.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I think that if we're going to have a national minimum wage, we should have a ceiling on that number otherwise states like Washington will eventually end u pat $100/hr - OR MORE - while other states don't go crazy.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

All social spending needs reconsidering and audited. If costs can't be justified, funding should be frozen and eliminated immediately. Stop funding homelessness services Stop funding climate programs that provide no return to the taxpayer Educational vouchers that create actual competition in the scholastic marketplace. Slash taxes

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It was intended to protect the church from the state and not the other way around.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Anything the government is involved in is inherently less efficient and economical. The government being involved in health care is a direct driver of health cost increases. That said, I don't think it would be right to yank away what people have been promised. We need to slow walk ourselves away from massive entitlement spending for the health, financial, and economic future of our country and our people.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Choose not to answer

I think that transparency demands that the taxpayer know exactly what their money is being spent on. That said, there's an inherent privacy concern here for me. I'd want to know how the policy was implemented before taking a position on this.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. 500 words isn't enough here. I can summarize in three points: 1. They are a strong strategic ally in a hostile region 2. We have a shared Judeo-Christian Heritage 3. There are significant economic benefits. All three of these points advance America's standing on the world stage and keeps America as the world's sole hegemon.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Not just that, but students from adversarial and thieving nations like China should not be allowed to attend our universities.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm a born and raised, spirit-filled believer. Our church is charismatic and pentecostal. There is one God and he is three parts - Father, Son, Holy Spirit. He is the only way to heaven. The Bible is the divinely inspired word of God. It is as relevant today as ever! God is outside of space and time. He is Omniscient and Omnipresent. He is still working in and through his people today.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I had one ethics complaint filed against me in my time on city council. It was for allegedly being 'discriminatory toward trans people.' I ran 5 amendments on a policy known as a "Shield Policy" that was intended to make Spokane a hub of transgenderism.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

In Washington, our dams! Nuclear is also very reliable and powerful. An amazing energy source we should keep pursuing and learning to harness is the sun.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The criminal justice system should exist to protect the innocent, ensure public safety, uphold equal justice under the law, deter crime, and hold offenders accountable while allowing opportunities for rehabilitation where appropriate. Just requires both compassion and consequences, but the first duty of the government is maintaining order and protecting communities.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I don't exactly know the line here. I don't think a citizen should be able to own a nuclear weapon. But, I also think that a well armed population deters tyrannical government. At the very least, anything the police can use against the citizenry should be allowed to be owned and operated by citizens.
