QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Under any circumstances in which both the mother and her doctor agree is an acceptable circumstance.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
If the drug is FDA approved for over the counter use then there is no reason for a consultation or any reporting.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Planned Parenthood offers many other services other than abortion services in which public funds are used and that allow them to provide crucial health care to people.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
Only in circumstances in which the person would be unnecessarily suffering from disease or injury from which they have no chance of recovering.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
It needs to stay in step with inflation so that we can avoid unnecessary debt and poverty.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
If we are to invest money into industry then they should meet environmental and social standards and be willing to meet governmental standards as well.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only when public safety is threatened by keeping it opened, and if that church is not enforcing suggested ways to keep worshippers safe.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
If that business receives public funds then absolutely, if it's a private business then they may refuse service, but that person cannot complain that they lose business due to their choice to not serve based on their beliefs.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it along with private healthcare options. We should make privacy health insurances compete with more efficient public options.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under any circumstances. Employers and schools often require vaccination to ensure the health and safety of employees and students and governments may do the same for the safety of its citizens.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
The United States Government is the most technologically advanced military in the world so while the CCP has numbers we have tech on our side, we are able to intercept many of their cyber attacks, and the global community is unified against their IP infractions and is working together to weaken China's economic strength globally.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
It is important just as every other international relationship is important. The US's relationship with Israel is vital as we temper their reactions as a nuclear power. We need to be an ally to them and speak as friends do and praise them for what they do right and call them out for what they do wrong.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Disagree
We have done everything we can to reasonably secure the southern border. What we need to do is do better in addressing the reasons people are fleeing to our country.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Disagree
Schools need the funds to not only educate current students but also plan for future students, and if the money is dependent on students attending then that eradicates a schools ability to do that.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
We should protect children from abuse, mutilation and grooming, obviously. That being said gender ideology is not a bad thing, it's simply acknowledging that while there are two sexes (male and female) there are multiple genders of which a person can identify as and that is not dangerous it is simply accepting others as they are.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Agree
So long as that choice does not harm the child physically or mentally.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Neutral
If a person who is transitioning happens to be on a public funded health insurance then yes, I do not think that there should be a separate fund or anything for them.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a legal contract between two people and the government. Holy Matrimony is God-Ordained and not to be confused with Marriage. You can be joined in Holy-Matrimony and not Married, or vice versa should a person be married in a court of law vs a church.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Norse Pagan, I believe that everyone is equal in life and it is our personal beliefs and how we treat others that defines us. Faith is a personal thing, and it means something different from person to person and so one should not push their faith onto anyone else.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
We issue voter identification cards for first time voters or voters that move and switch polling places, once that initial vote is completed then there is no reason for photo ID.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Neutral
The electoral college had its purpose in the past so it either needs to be updated and amended to the needs of today or it needs to be eliminated.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. 35% (the largest category) of domestic terror attacks were racially motivated per the Dept of Homeland Security. Racism has been a threat to civil liberties since our founding and up through today.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Agree
I believe that many of our institutions have racially biased foundations, but that we have made strives in many of them to become better and we have a long way to go yet.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
If a person identifies as a woman and has gone through the transition process that shows that they are truly trans and not suffering from body dysmorphia then yes they should be able to use their identified restroom/locker room, they should go to the appropriate prison, and be able to participate in sports of their gender identity.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
B and D are the ones that I believe are the closest to my views. My caveat for B is that yes as we move toward renewable energy, fossil fuel energy jobs will go away but I believe we can and must transition these workers to the renewable energy jobs instead of just letting them fall off, and as for D this summer has had some of the hottest days in the last few centuries on a global scale this change in weather comes with more extreme weather and more human harm.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I believe that Nuclear Energy may be the best wide spread option at this point in time, I believe that solar and wind power can do wonders for our smaller communities but on a national scale nuclear will be the best option.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government is to provide for common welfare of its citizens, basically its purpose is to ensure that life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are ensured through lack of debt, affordable healthcare and good education.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Liberal
I'm liberal, and I'm proud to be a liberal. I believe that government should work for the majority of people and not Corporations and super rich. I believe government should uplift those in poverty not forsake them.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Neutral
I believe we need to take some responsibility from police departments. Police officers shouldn't have to deal with issues that should be dealt with by social services, they should work in tandem with community programs instead of in competition with them.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need to close loopholes that allow for people to purchase firearms without background checks at gun bashes or fairs, or win them without background checks in raffles. We also need to treat them like cars, they should be registered and licensed.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No
I know many teachers about 20 and not a single on of them thinks carrying a firearm would do anything to make their classroom safer.
