QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Whenever the woman and medical professional determine it in the best interest for the womans health

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Disagree

People should never be required by the Government to report on their medical reactions to anything.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

They provide great services to women and men especially in testing and treatment for STI which is a public health issue and decreases costs to the public down the line. There would just need to be proper oversight in regards to the Hyde Amendment.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

If an Adult with full mental capacities wants to do something that does not infringe on someones else rights then they should be allowed to do that.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage is there to supply people with a minimum standard of living. Someone working 40 hours a week should be able to afford housing, food and all other necessities.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

NONE

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

As long as they do not receive governmental funds they should not have to provide any service. That does not mean they are free from judgment.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The current circumstances. I had to be vaccinated in school and we didn't have measles outbreaks. People are not in iron-lungs anymore like they once were. I work in health care and we get a flu shot every year because we would shut down otherwise.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Fortunately we have the United States armed services on our side.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, A first line of defense against Iran and those they use as their proxies.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Choose not to answer

This is all dependent. My tax dollars go to education and I don't have children. Does everyone get to decide where their tax dollars go? How much bureaucratic jobs does this create?

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Children should be allowed to be children. That's why it's our job as adults to provide a healthy environment, strong economy, and safe neighborhoods. It is not just the parents job to protect children but the entire communities to make sure everything is better for them when they become adults.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

As long as the child is not hurt physically or mentally that's basically the parents job.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

Honestly I wish the government would not marry people. Religions can marry people in their name based on their beliefs. I think that the government should only performer civil unions. Two consenting adults can have a civil union and that includes everyone and any pair combination. Take government out of religion and everything gets better.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an atheist and spiritually connect to the betterment of humankind. I love that everyone has their own beliefs and we still, for the greater part of society, get along and keep moving forward. There are always going to be problems no matter what and to have people be able to find peace and solace in their beliefs are fantastic.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

I've been voting by mail for some time as Utah is really good at running this. Sometimes I go to an early voting location because I want a sticker and do not find it difficult to show my ID to prove who I am.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Agree

The electoral College makes presidential candidates campaign to specific areas and forget a great part of this nations voters. The non-voter is the largest political party in this nation and that is not good for the country. With this Presidential candidates, and therefore, political parties, would have to engage with the core values and views of Americans and not sound bites of performance art.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, anything that makes people hate someone else for things they have no control over is not going to end well.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Choose not to answer

I disagree with the way this question is stated. A college level course thinking critically about the nations history is not a bad idea. I look at George Washington's farewell address  "Though in reviewing the incidents of my administration I am unconscious of intentional error, I am nevertheless too sensible of my defects not to think it probable that I may have committed many errors." People aren't perfect, which means government isn't. No reason we can't fix it.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

D. But we can't tax our way out of it.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The sun. We have about 5 billion years util it burns out. seems like enough energy for the time our species will be here.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To maintain order and stability. That way parents can raise their children, entrepreneurs can start their business, people can enjoy their retirement, etc. It is not there to raise and take care of the people. It is there to make sure each individual doesn't have to worry about the purge.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

There are things I'm very liberal on. things I'm very conservative on. For the most part I am conservative on things the government should be involved in. Like how much and what to spend the taxpayers money on.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Neutral

Depending on what community programs. If they are programs that make it so the need for police work down the line is lessened then that is one thing. If its a program that says its good for the community but has no impact on that then no. These programs would have to have proof that they do indeed make a significant impact on decreasing need for policing as well.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Those with mental health issues and those with violent (case specific) histories should not have access to firearms.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

If a teacher determines that it is necessary to protect their children in the classroom then I will not question that educator. The better question is why do we have a society that teachers feel like this is a need. If we really want to protect children we should probably dig rally deep in solving this. I remember being in 5th grade after Columbine and getting the first does of active shooter drills. I think it's time to start making these a thing of the past.
