QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Elective abortions should not be allowed under any circumstances. My wife and I have struggled with the pain that comes with the loss of miscarriages; a pain millions of American families bear every year. The pain we all carry is from the loss of a precious life. We have chosen to use our experience to fight for the millions of precious lives taken each year from elective abortions. I will continue to fight for those lives!

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

A "chemical abortion" is no different morally from a surgical abortion and should not be treated differently from a legal perspective. The Founding Fathers, in announcing our intent to be a free and independent country, stated our Government was instituted to protect our God-given Right to Life. I am committed to maintaining this founding principle.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The freedom to own your property and your labor is one of the leading reasons the United States has become a shining example to the world.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Studies show minimum wage laws offer only a temporary benefit to economic development, a benefit that is quickly erased by slowing growth and loss of entry level positions to automation. These laws then lead to more reliance on government assistance.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

We need to learn from the overreach of government we experienced during the COVID lockdowns and ensure churches are never unfairly forced to lock their doors ever again.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

We have seen a great deal of misinformation surrounding a few high-profile cases. Individuals and businesses should not be forced by the government to endorse or promote ideas that violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

We should move towards decoupling the government and healthcare. Implementing a 'universal healthcare' would result in immense expense to the taxpayer and maintaining our current track will lead us towards that result. I have dedicated my career to education on the issues with our healthcare industry, helping businesses and individuals navigate the growing regulatory burdens that have resulted in an exponential growth in healthcare cost driven predominately by government intervention.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Healthcare requires 'informed consent'. This means an individual should be able to decide what is best for their personal health. Compelled vaccinations would make individuals with adverse medical histories second-class-citizens.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The events that have transpired recently show why the United States' relationship with Israel is so important. Hamas has repeatedly used their own hospitals and schools as human shields for their military operations, then orchestrated an attack on civilians on October 7, 2023. That sort of evil cannot be allowed to stand. I support Israel's defense of its people.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We see dozens of reports each week about military-aged men from everywhere in the world, including China, the Middle East, and Africa. This is not a case of "migrants from Mexico trying to escape cartel violence" as has been portrayed in the media, it is an attack that will rip apart the economy and the freedom-loving culture of the United States.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Missouri has started the process of reforming our education system. More work is needed but we are starting down the right path.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children as long as those decisions are not abusive to the child. We should strengthen laws to protect children from abuses like gross neglect and physical/sexual harm.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Studies have shown that non-intervention is generally the safest and most effective way to handle juvenile gender dysphoria. Not only should we not use taxpayer funds to provide transition services to minors, but we should not allow them at all.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

The government does not have the authority to force a church to marry anyone. However, the government does not have the authority to tell a church they are not allowed to marry two consenting adults.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian man. My family and I attend church nearly every weekend. My wife and I have taken on leadership positions on Sundays to help new members get oriented.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Nearly every Western country in the world requires photo identification to vote and we should too.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

I vehemently disagree with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. The Electoral College is not a flaw in our system, it is a feature.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe the use of racism as a dividing wedge between American citizens is a far greater threat to domestic security than racism itself is. Organizations like Antifa will use racism to their advantage when it suits them while using racial slurs toward a Black Police Officer. I believe freedom-loving Americans love freedom-loving Americans no matter the color of their skin.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is rooted in Marxist Theory which seeks to divide the people. One of the few differences we see between the Communism of the last century and the CRT promoters now is that the communists used class to divide us while today's Marxists use race.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

This is about protecting our wives, daughters, and sisters. In their struggle to make biological men 'feel comfortable', leftists forgot about women. Complaints cannot be met with disapproval for the women who feel uncomfortable with a man in their space as it is in California.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Stricter environmental laws hurt the economy and undermine US energy independence.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The most reliable energy source we have currently is nuclear by far. Nuclear energy results in the lowest amount of CO2 emissions and pollutants.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To secure the protection of our God-given Rights from those who want to take them away from us.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I believe in the United States of America and will fight to conserve its founding principles!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I support fully funding our police departments.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Gun restrictions should be limited to individuals convicted of felonies. However, I support exploring expungement as a means for Restoration of Felon Gun Rights as ruled upon by the Missouri Supreme Court in 2023.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Teachers who are willing to undergo training to conceal carry a firearm in school should be allowed to do so.
