QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

The role of a school in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy should be one of compassion, support, and guidance. The school should aim to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where the student feels comfortable seeking help and expressing their needs. The school should also provide access to resources and information regarding pregnancy options, such as adoption services, parenting resources, and prenatal care. Educating the student about these options equips them to make an informed decision. Ultimately, the school's role should be centered around providing empathy, support, and resources while respecting the student's autonomy and personal values. Every student deserves to be treated with compassion.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

The issue of government funding for public education from pre-K through college involves a range of considerations. Supporters emphasize the importance of equal access to education and the potential economic benefits, while critics raise concerns about cost, bureaucracy, and individual choice. The optimal approach should aim to provide quality education for all while fostering innovation, individual development, and economic growth.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

Life begins at conception and should be valued. As a parent who has two adopted children, I can attest to the belief that there are alternative options to abortion that parents should consider. Every life is valuable and should be cherished.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?

Yes

The reason for my answer being "yes" is that even though a person in the community may not have a child in the education system, their tax dollars are contributing to the funding of that curriculum. While not everyone may agree, I believe that transparency regarding what is being taught should be maintained and made accessible. This applies to parents with children in school as well.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Providing students with a comprehensive education in America's founding documents and cultivating American patriotism is vital for promoting an informed, engaged, and responsible citizenry. It allows students to understand the principles upon which the United States was founded, instills a sense of national pride, encourages critical analysis, and equips them with the skills necessary for active civic participation.

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Disagree

Though I highly value every student, I do not believe that this should entail altering the value system of others, thereby infringing upon the rights of other individuals, solely to accommodate a small minority of students. In my opinion, it is improper to compel or force individuals to modify their American values and principles grounded in their faith.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

I believe in equality of opportunities.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Christian, my spiritual beliefs and values center around the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible. I hold the belief in God as the creator and the source of all life. Your faith emphasizes the importance of love, compassion, forgiveness, and humility as exemplified by Jesus. I strive to follow His teachings in your daily life, seeking to live with integrity and honor God in all that I do. My spiritual values also likely include principles such as faith, hope, gratitude, and the importance of prayer and worship. Additionally, I may prioritize serving and caring for others, spreading the message of God's love, and living a life of purpose and meaning according to the Christian faith.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

I believe parents are responsible for teaching sexual education because the public school setting can often present a wide spectrum of ideas that may deviate from God's design. In my opinion, children should start learning about God's design for life at an early age, while leaving more detailed teachings for their teen years.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Again, I believe the teaching of Sex Ed she be approached in a way that does not violate human life. Abstinence should be taught until marriage.

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Strongly Agree

It has been proven that critical thinking skills don't kick in until around the age of 21. Some would argue even later than that. This study proves that making life changing decisions at a younger age could end up leading to a life of regret with permanent consequences.

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Strongly Agree

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Strongly Agree

We have seen enough news stories with regards to instances of what happen when a teacher cannot carry. To me it only makes sense that if a faculty member is licensee to carry, they should. It would greatly curtail instances we have seen on a national level.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
