QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
This should also include Medicare payments and military hospitals. I do not want a dime of taxpayer dollars going to an abortion in any way.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I would prefer that chemical abortions did not exist.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Never, full stop. Regardless of the circumstance of a child's conception, it does not diminish the value of that child. Just because the child may not have been conceived in love, does not mean that the child should be killed.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
The federal government can have a role in limiting abortion. The key is to come up with a with a restriction that can get passed in the senate. Almost all Democrats and some republicans are pro abortion. If we can all agree that say, abortions after X number of weeks is particularly barbaric, then maybe we can at least put some sort of limits on abortion. I would start with an outright ban and negotiate from there. If we could come up with any restrictions, then I would vote for it. It is also important to read the fine print and make sure that any ban is only a ban, rather than some odd funding mechanism that my Democrat friends would try to enact.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
First, get the federal budget under control. That is the main driver of inflation. Inflation is taking more money from Americans than anything else. spending an extra $200 per week at the grocery store is like a tax that none of us can afford.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
If you can't understand the terms of a simple interest loan, then maybe college isn't for you. You took out the loan, so you should pay the loan back, not the guy that chose to start working in the trades and learn a skill.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Why would we use what is essentially Marxism ratings to determine how to spend our dollars?
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means what the framers intended it to be. It means that there should not be an official government religion (Like Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic etc.) The term separation of church and state does not appear in the constitution. The Establishment Clause in the First Amendment merely states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Example: A business can't refuse to sell someone a standard product, like a pre-made cake. However, a baker should certainly not be forced to make a custom cake for a homosexual wedding of it violates their moral or religious beliefs. This really isn't that hard. Most of this controversy is done out of spite.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Never.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C, sort of. medicaid at the federal level should not be a thing. If a state chooses to do so and it is within their constitutional bounds, why do I care. I am not here to tell California how to spend their money. whether or not they bankrupt themselves is not my business as a federal legislator. Just don't come to us looking for a bailout.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B, but only if it serves our national interest. We can't help everyone, but need to do so if is in our national interest.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I have seen the reports. this is all true. China is our greatest threat.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Our relationship with Israel is very important. Israel is an ally and the only democracy in a region that is full of dictatorships and monarchies. We do tons of commerce with the middle east and with Israel. It is important to have a stable partner in the region. Also, we rely on them for intelligence in other areas as well. They are a good ally.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
-Political correctness and bureaucratic stupidity in the military. -Long deployments (When I joined the US Navy, a standard deployment was 6 months, now they are 9-10 months) People are getting burned out.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Border barriers work. Texas is proving it now, and they are just using razor wire. On a side note, it wouldn't be as bad if our half wit president wasn't encouraging the entire third world to come.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We should only allow those to come in if they have the means to take care of themselves, wither with family members or a marketable skill. And we should only allow those with skills that we need, not flood the market with, for example, IT people. As an example, I hear we need more doctors. We should allow as many as want to come.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
We already have 50 departments of education. the one at the federal level serves no purpose other than to take our money then give it right back to us after taking some off of the top to support the billions of dollars in budget.
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage was established not by man but by God. The government should not be involved in changing the definition of something they did not create.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
It should be illegal to perform sex change surgery on anyone under 18. Also, it should be illegal to give body altering hormones to children under 18. To be honest, it does not help these kids to play into what is clearly a mental problem they are having.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Um, no.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Follower and servant of Christ. That is the most important thing in my life. I believe that Jesus Christ came to this earth (born of the virgin Mary), was crucified, then rose on the third day. Christ defeated death and in turn defeated sin for us. God requires a perfect sacrifice and there is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven. Thankfully for us, the sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf is all that we need. We just have to acknowledge Christ as our savior, then turn from our sins, and we are redeemed children of God. I am a sinner, but thankfully I have a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. This has helped me turn from my own sin and overcome my many shortcomings.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The things we can't do without ID: Buy smokes Buy beer Drive Use the bank Fly in an airplane Go to the doctor Go to the pharmacy Get a job So shy would we allow voting without ID.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
That is nonsensical. A small state like Missouri would have no voice.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
All critical theory is garbage. It is essentially there to turn groups of people against each other.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
That is nonsense. As for sports, a 200 pound dude should not be able to compete against our daughters. Our girls need to have competition with each other. For shelters/prison/sororities ..... that is a recipe for disaster. It is just begging for sexual assault.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
It is mostly over hyped. It is hubris to think we can control the climate in any meaningful way. Also, it has been proven in recent years that climate scientists have been fudging data to bolster their claims .
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Coal, Oil and Gas
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Err on the side of freedom.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Defend our country and borders Defend our liberties
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I'm sure that will help prevent crime (sarcasm)
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We already have them. Convicted felons and foreigners can not buy guns. Must be 18 to buy a gun.
