QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Rape, Incest and when the mother's life is in danger.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Chemical Abortions should only be used within the first 8 weeks
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
Sometimes if a person has exhausted all treatment options and the pain is more than a person can handle I think that if they are of sound mind that decision should be between the person and their family. We already have DNR laws and living will laws. I don't think that this is much different.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
America was built on free enterprise.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
This a little complicated. Because these jobs have become a full time job for the uneducated instead of a teenager or young people filling these jobs it needs to be higher. However, I think the better question is that we need to provide education.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
There should be no circumstances that a government closes a church. This is a direct violation of the constitution.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
We are a society of private companies then we should be able to decide who we want to serve or not. The key here is that it is a Private Company.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available. However, I don't think that a person that can afford their own healthcare should get it for free from the government. I think that we should look at why healthcare costs so much. Providers have to go through so many standard protocols to diagnose something.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
No one should REQUIRE vaccinations. That decision should be between the person and their doctor.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
We need to get the land back that they have purchased. We need to protect our intellectual property and tariff everything that is made in China. We need to ban all apps that have China companies or origins attached to them.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
This is an important relationship because of the region that it is located in.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Building the wall, add border agents and judges. Change the asylum laws. We need to correct what the Biden administration has destroyed.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
School choice is a good thing. We also need to provide more charter schools as part of the public schools system. This is another way to keep dollars in the local system and provide a better education. Stop allowing the schools to be run by the unions.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
We know that their brains aren't fully developed until they are in their 20's. Why do we think that they should be making life and body changing decisions before they can fully process the consequences of their decisions. Why would we allow children in elementary school learn about things that they are too young to understand.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be informed about what is going on with their children and be able to make decisions that are appropriate for their child.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Just like plastic surgery is elective so is gender transitioning. Tax payers haven't paid for plastic surgery and they shouldn't pay for this either.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
God teaches us to love everyone. Whatever a person chooses it is between them and God. I am not the judge on this. God is. As for the marriage part, I think that there is room for a civil union so that people can be legally joined for the purposes of insurance and other laws.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian. I believe that God has the authority over my life and prayer has the power to change. I think that the nuclear family is important and we should bring back the Sunday dinner so that parents and children can discuss what is going on in each others lives. I believe that the Constitution was written with God leading the values of this country. I don't think that taking Religion out of school was what Thomas Jefferson meant when he was writing to the Virginia State Legislature. I think that all children should be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in every classroom and in every school. By removing God we have removed and whitewash the moral compass that the Founding Fathers wanted.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We need to have photo ID for voting or some form of identifying that the person voting is eligible to vote. There needs to be a check system in place. Maybe a national ID?
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
Unless they can figure out a way to balance it so that the larger population states have less voting. The electoral college balances the power of the vote between the larger population states and the smaller population states. We also need a national standard for voting. This would help to make sure that the elections are fair.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I think that we are better today than we were 20 years ago in some respects. I think that Black Americans have an inferiority complex. Meaning that they don't feel that they have been treated fairly for nearly 250 years. They think that they are victims. I do think that at times they are right, but I also think that they are a victim of their culture. If you grow up in a single parent home or don't have any role models you are destine to repeat it.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is fundamentally flawed. It has bent truth and history. It teaches that everyone is racist and in history if you were a slave owner but one of the founding fathers you not a part of history and you should be removed from history. Good or bad history is truth and should be taught.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Biological males are just that, males. So, why should they be allowed into locker rooms or able to compete in a women's sporting event? Just because they decided to take female hormones and grow their hair doesn't mean that they are physically female.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
B) and C) I think that evironmental laws are worth the cost in that air quality is problematic for large cities. Without those laws we would probably be where China and Mexico are. If we don't have the infrastructure or alternatives to fossil fuels we shouldn't be pushing for getting rid of fossil fuels. I think that we have an obligation to leave the planet in better shape than we started and means that we need to continue to make changes that make sense.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear is the cleanest and most reliable energy source.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
National security. Protecting its borders and its citizens.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I think that I am conservative for most things. There are some social programs that I think we need to look at. It doesn't me that the government needs to pay for it but we need to address it.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
There is nothing that can replace what the police do. Domestic situations are the most volatile situations but also the most needed area where a social worker could help. However, to many times I know that police officers have been killed during a domestic dispute. So, how do you know when it is or isn't going to be a situation for social services or police intervention. Maybe more training for police officers in hostage negotiation. That would give them tools to talk someone down.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The current restrictions of a felon and any time a gun has been involved in a crime. Meaning that if a domestic situation involved a gun.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
