QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Disagree

We should not pass legislature that is so broad. We as a country aren't in a situation to solve homelessness or find homes for all the children that are in foster homes now. We need to be better equipped to shoulder the burden of human life without placing it onto someone else. If you are protecting the baby upon conception, who is protecting the mother?

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Provide education and resources so that the student can make an informed decision.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Agree

The government job is to serve the people. To protect the people from large corporations and groups from harming our citizens. The nation we live in today is a direct reflection of the people that have been on office. If the American people can't afford the American dream then our government is failing them.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

We have to make education a priority for everyone, not just educators. Funding education can only have a positive outcome for a society that wants to empower its people instead of profit off of them.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

The Ten Commandments should not be displayed in public school buildings or court houses.

Agree

If the concern actually about doing the right thing and setting morale standards then schools would be educating kids on their rights not the 10 commandments. If you are allowing religion into schools, you have to open it up to all religions. Religions shouldn't have to plaster schools to gain faith of others. There are plenty of students that need money for school lunches, clothes and physicals to play sports.

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Agree

Schools are places for community and debate. Educating students on various views will help them become more well rounded and rooted in their convictions.

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

The objective to school as a teacher is to teach. Teaching has to be adaptive and accommodating. The goal is to put education in a language that fits the student so they can learn.

NATIONAL SECURITY

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, Israel has been our ally for some while now. All of the United States allies are important.

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Disagree

There is no one answer to any such trivial question. I served in the military, it is no doubt essential. I believe that there are many other ways to maintain peace. I have yet to see our military put our citizens at peace inside of our country.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

When it comes to education something has to be done. I am not saying that this is the silver bullet, but we have to try something.

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

I think this is a reasonable ask. We either have to be better about allocating funds to help children or put money in the hands of people who will.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

None. We need to educate on human essentials.

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Agree

Provide education and resources so students can make informed decisions. That is what schools are for.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Social emotional Learning, Personal Finances, Foreign language, Information Technology, Civics, Vocational Learning, American History, Critical Race Theory, Language Arts, Science, Political.

VALUES

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows, explicit materials in schools and libraries, and other public venues.

Neutral

We have to be careful with how we define sexual grooming. I understand that sometimes change scares people and what is different can be uncomfortable. In my experience, education on the matter can help.

Marriage between one man and one woman and the families they form are the foundation of civilization and are fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of society.

Disagree

We are an intentionally diverse nation. Our diversity in views and opinions is what helps us advance so fast as a country. Its not for me to tell anyone that they aren't fundamental part of society based on their relationship status.

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.

Agree

We shouldn't allow kids to be one on one interacting with professionals without the knowledge of the parents.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe that serving God is serving other people. Despite race, religion or gender.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I don't think a photo ID is too much to ask for.

EQUALITY

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Agree

As a bi-racial man from the south. I can't wait until the DEI initiative becomes a real thing and not just a sticker businesses can buy. Hopefully I am a part of that change.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

I believe that those who transition genders or choose to identify as a different gender than their own, deserve their own space to be comfortable. A third option to be presented. From new sports organizations to bathrooms.

ABOUT YOU

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

None of them

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

I stand with the people. If politicians are making decisions on partisan stances, then they are wrong.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Strongly Disagree

I have never liked this view. Believing this is a good idea is disrespectful to the police force as well as our combat service members. We have seen situations where the people who signed up to serve and protect, don't rush into gun fire while armed. Why would we place a responsibility like this on teachers. Not to mention the trauma after. There are other solutions.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Under what circumstances (if any) should schools be allowed to require vaccinations?

In the case of national security. The person at risk is the unvaccinated.
