QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I oppose any law that would lift current restrictions on abortion. I do support women’s health which must be considered in light of the specific situation. Thus, clarifications to the existing abortion laws may be necessary to avoid legislating from "The Bench". Abortion should not be used as birth control or for unnatural selection.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Agree
Medical Rx safety is paramount to all medications. Thus, a medical provider (eg NP, MD, DO, PAC) must prescribe such a Rx. Pharmaceutical companies already have methods of investigating use and side effects to their products.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
Health insurance should pay for procedures and providers.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
I support hospice and palliative care.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Existing minimum wage laws in AZ are adequate.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Choose not to answer
Public funds should be used where constituents desire. I will listen to the voters.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Illegal activities.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
As long as the belief does not violate any law.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. However, the medical system is broken financially and must be re-structured to today's times at the federal level.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccines that are well established, with significant collected data, and depend on herd immunity such as the measles vaccine.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, the US must remain allies with Israel. This is very important to maintain peace and stability in the Middle East.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The US must mitigate illicit activity through its border. AZ should assist as possible, emulating Texas' successes.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Choose not to answer
The current ESA program has more participants than expected. The people have spoken. Unfortunately, initial data indicates the program is not fiscally sustainable. I oppose raising taxes. AZ must create an alternative, less expensive method to protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school. I value education and will help think-tank such alternative funding methods. I listen to the voters. The tax credits for private and public schools have withstood the test of time (18 years).
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
As long as the decisions are not abusive.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Gender transition is an elective procedure. Mental health treatment may be funded with taxpayer funds if that is the established healthcare payment for the patient.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Current federal law essentially allows marriage between two individuals which is based on official interpretation of the Constitution. I support the Constitution.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Jewish.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Disagree, unless superior forms of identification, such as fingerprints, become available to use.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The electoral College is fair and should be continued for many reasons. I assert logic to my decisions. As a state legislator, I would oppose a proposal to award Arizona's electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The US is a melting pot of ethnicities and religions. Racism violates this basic principle. People must be treated equally.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Alternative arrangements should be made for locker rooms / bathrooms, such as a separate unisex room.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C. Reasonable environmental laws are necessary to reduce pollution. These laws are already in effect. I support new energy research and development.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Today, fossil based fuels work. In the future, other forms of sustainable energy such as Nuclear should be deployed.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Provide structure for a society to safely thrive.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Voters must feel safe. Law enforcement agencies, such as police, are necessary for society to thrive.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly support the Constitution and our 2nd amendment. Very few restrictions are needed. However, restricting firearms from the mentally insane and felons serving their sentence are reasonable. Like utilizing all tools, I support some form of specific tool education.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Formal education on how to carry and when to remove a firearm from its holster must be proven to prevent abuse and prevent minors from access.
