QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Life of the mother.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support the use of Abortifacients.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support assisted suicide or euthanasia.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I do not think we need a minimum wage and certainly would not support a raise in the minimum wage. In a non-monopoly driven economy with healthy competition, the wages will rise naturally as companies compete for workers.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG is simply Communism/Marxism corporatized. I would like to see ESG and all its components routed out of American society.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
I would like to say none as I believe strongly in freedom of religion and more generally in the freedom of association, but there are rare circumstances such as when some Islamic mosques have been used as staging areas for terrorist campaigns. In those cases it may be necessary to act differently, but even in such cases I would hope that law enforcement would punish the terrorists while allowing the non-terror actors to retain their rights.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
I take a stance here that may be considered extreme, but I believe in freedom of association even when it means discrimination. If a business owner wants to arbitrarily deny certain patrons of services then that's their prerogative. History has shown, however, that those businesses are generally short lived as others will inevitably rise up to outcompete them. Forced segregation, for example, created a new class of black millionaires as a result of government sanctioned discrimination.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I would prefer D, but would be willing to live with C. I do think that we need to revisit the way the healthcare and insurance industries work right now. I think things are skewed in favor of the big providers (and the government) and it I would rather it be made easier for groups of people to be able to build their own co-ops to fund and then negotiate with hospitals or individual doctors offices to provide care. We are currently forced through a funnel of big box providers due to mandates.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I believe in completely getting rid of such mandates. If vaccinations actually work then I don't see what the fuss is about. People should have the choice to accept the risk on themselves and everyone else can voluntarily get vaccinated.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. As someone who works in IT, I am well aware of just how much of the world's technology innovation originates from Israel. Beyond that, from a military perspective, Israel has been a very important intelligence partner. I believe in reducing our footprint internationally, but there are certain allies that we should think carefully before cutting ties with them. At the end of the day, it's a question of whether we gain more by being partners or not. I think we gain.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Pretty simple. I was raised and still practice the Christian faith and my values are governed by those beliefs.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
Without the electoral college we can't consider ourselves a truly representative government. The big states would hold sway over the smaller or less populated states. We must do everything we can to legally stop this anti-American effort from succeeding.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
A longer more nuanced conversation is necessary, but in a word NO. Racism is not as big an issue as the media and certain parties would have people believe. Certainly it doesn't rise to the level of being a threat to national security.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A) I believe that the evidence has long ago proven that climate change is a farce and environmental laws and regulations built with climate change as their pre-cursor should be removed. Being good stewards of the planet is important, but there must be a balance struck with reality. Earth exists for man, not the other way around.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I think nuclear is the future, but in the short term we should still look at coal and other fossil fuels as our main energy sources. Green energy is dirtier and less safe for the environment currently btw.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To provide to all, the common safety (military, police, fire) and legal mediation (judicial). Everything else should be handled by the free market.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
If what you're referring to is the Defund the Police movement then NO, but if you're saying that there is some police department out there that's so well funded that we could afford to siphon off some of the funds to help with certain worthy community programs then I might be willing to entertain the idea.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Yes, but I would advocate for them to be properly trained on how to use their firearms in a way where they would be helping and not making things worse when the inevitable need arises.
