QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
All cases of rape, incest or threat to the threat of the mother
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortions should be permitted to be prescribed by physicians after a physical examination and counseling. The reporting should be de-identified and not linked to the patient to adhere to privacy laws.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
A minimum wage should exist, but wages should reflect what the market can bear.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Yes
Environmental and social influences cannot be ignored when allocating funds but should not take priority over the underlying issue/need.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only in cases where there has been documented fraud or criminal activity against the members or citizens.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
No person or business should be forced to produce or work against their will. However, there should never be discrimination of services based on religion.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
We should have open, free markets for healthcare, but this is simply no longer possible after a third party payor is involved. Ideally we would have a government funded catastrophic health care plan for all and non-catastrophic (routine) coverage should be free market FFS. Medical charges have become an opaque black box.The amount charged to the patient and the amount received by physicians have no bearing on services rendered & no consistency between patients or transparency in billing.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccines should be STRONGLY recommended for life threatening illnesses that have proven, effective vaccines with the recipient/ parent educated on the risks/ benefits and liabilities but not required with absolution for schools or routine employment.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The US relationship with Israel is crucial to ensure the freedom and protection of the Jewish people as our allies and to strategically maintain a foothold in the Middle East while combatting Soviet and Iranian influences.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
No American children should die from an accidental Fentanyl overdose or live in fear of gang violence while attending school. Securing our southern border is a step towards reducing these atrocitites.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Dollars should follow the child, but standard guidance options should be provided by the government for those parents who are not themselves educated in what programs may best benefit their child. No child should be left behind educationally because their parent or guardian is uninformed.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Children should not be allowed to cross state borders to receive medical care without parental consent.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Tax funds should not be used on any truly elective intervention.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
Marriage under the church may be defined as a union of one man and one woman, but governments should recognize same sex marriages of two adults.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised Southern Baptist with a strong belief in God, the sacrifice of his son and following the teachings of the Bible. My husband is a reform Jew. We have raised our children with a strong belief in God, and following the values of the old testament. We have also made a point to teach the basics of other world religions with tolerance and love for all humans regardless of their practices and to treat all with the "Golden Rule".
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism does exist but is not a threat to domestic security. Socioeconomic stratification is more of an underlying cause than simply race alone.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
Some environmental regulations are needed and are worth the cost of implementation.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear Energy has the biggest potential for increased energy demands.
