Biologists & Christians agree -- biological life & human life exist at conception (Psalm 51:5). In an ideal world, all human life would be protected from conception. We currently sadly don't have enough of that view. Nonetheless, all should be loved. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." ~John 3:16-17

I am a very loving and devout Christian and a 1 John 5:18 literalist so far as the importance of stopping sinning. Thus, I haven't willfully lied nor willfully sinned in about 20 years, since I became a Christian. God calls me to His will, which is to love Him and to love others. That is a large part of why I am running for office -- because I believe I can drastically increase the amount of good I can do for others by helping to provide a great, just and efficient government.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26-28

While we don't have kings, I think Biblical principals apply to good government - "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute." - Proverbs 31:8 "Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness." - Proverbs 16:12 "Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure." - Proverbs 20:28 "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people" - Galatians 6:10a

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
History teaches that the cost of an unarmed citizenry is greater in lives lost (ie to military coups and their purges / genocides) than the cost of an armed citizenry. Therefore, the right to bear arms is important to protect public safety.
