QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
The decision for an elective abortion or any abortion should ultimately be made by the woman, along with her family and her professional and spiritual advisors.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Choose not to answer
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Since abortions are a medical procedure, the providers of that care should be subsidized as any medical provider.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
There are so many variables involved in this decision. It is still a personal one.And when the choice is made, the service should be provided.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I am confident that data shows that raising the minimum wage will reduce poverty, enhance economic security and stimulate the economy by increasing consumer spending. Increased employee satisfaction and the increased retention of employees, also.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
This should be used as a criteria, not to decide whether to invest public monies, but rather what to invest the public monies in for the area.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government should be able to close churches, when their action internal or external to the church is a threat or unsafe for the general public. It’s all about Safety
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
It really depends on what services are offered
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
A
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccines should be required when a contagious disease will affect our entire society.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The relationship is important to World Peace.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Agree
In addition, we need a simplified entry process.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Disagree
We should fund public education. This sounds a lot like vouchers and our rural communities do not have a lot of the same options as some of the larger areas.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
I think a lot of things have been left off of this list. Children should be protected from all things that hinder them from becoming a productive citizen in society, so you left a lot of things off of this list and listed some that could have been left off.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Neutral
Once again medical procedures for me fall under healthcare. healthcare should be subsidized.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
I do believe in the 1st statement. But government has already altered all of that with common law marriages. That’s not in the Bible.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that God is the Creator of all, His son is Jesus and He gave us the Holy Spirit to assist us in our walk on Earth.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Agree
The NPVIC is only trying to exercise the rights of the people. At some point hopefully more states will join. The electoral college is extinct and should be dissolved. One person one vote allows for less speculation of cheating. Though there has been no significant evidence. The electoral college is not a reflection of the people. But that is not what the GOP wants.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The FBI says that it is one of the top domestic threats, along with anti-government. Their investigations have more than doubled since the spring of 2020.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Agree
First, as CRT is being defined and used in this political environment is incorrect. But to go with how it is being used here, yes the institutions in America are racist. They have no choice, most were built on racist principles. All good faith actions to try and correct some of the wrongs have been reversed. If we do not make the right choices November 2024, we will see many more ‘isms.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
D
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I do believe there is not necessarily ONE source. I believe that there are a variety of sources. (Solar, wind, hydropower, coal, natural). We have to find ways of effectively and efficiently using as many as we can.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government is to govern and regulate those items that affect our nation as a whole.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Agree
I believe that a city or county should use funds in these departments to place people in these departments who can handle and train and be a resource. So funds are not necessarily redirected, but used differently in the same division. They could even reorganize and add the department to the police depart which would add funds father that remove. But help is needed.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
First, remove the high powered guns from the general public. If they want them for show, dismantle and place in a display box. Administer Red Flag laws, we can now longer ignore the signs. Universal gun laws, they should not be different in different states. If you can open carry, okay, one should get all of the licensing and training for it. It should NEVERbe okay foe a minor to own a gun of any kind. It should always be in the adults name until they become an adult.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
They should be allowed as a regular person is allowed to carry. BUT, they should not be MANDATED. For the most part, teachers are under paid, overworked, and not appreciated. That mandate of carrying a gun is an additional stress for those who are currently dealing with serious mental concerns.
