RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I firmly believe in the sanctity of life, grounded in the principle that every life is precious and deserves protection from conception. However, I also recognize that there are deeply challenging and tragic circumstances where difficult decisions must be made. In cases where the life of the mother is at serious risk, or where a pregnancy results from rape or incest, I believe that exceptions are warranted.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe in the power of a free-market economy to drive prosperity. While the intention behind increasing the minimum wage is to help low-income workers, mandating a higher minimum wage places a heavy burden on small businesses, economic detriment.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government should have extremely limited authority to close churches, as the freedom of religion is a fundamental right protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. In rare and exceptional circumstances, such as during a severe public health crisis or a national emergency, temporary measures may be necessary to protect the safety and well-being of the public.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. medicaid and medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
The government, schools, and employers should have limited roles in mandating health choices. However, public safety is also a key concern, and in situations where there's a clear, overwhelming public health risk- a balance must be struck.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Israel is a critical ally in a volatile region. The U.S. and Israel cooperate extensively on military and intelligence matters, which enhances the security of both nations. Israel's advanced military capabilities and strategic location provide the U.S. with a reliable partner in a region where stability is often fragile. The U.S. and Israel share intelligence and collaborate on counterterrorism efforts.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred institution and belongs with the church, not the state.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs are a cornerstone of who I am, deeply rooted in my Christian faith. This faith is not just a set of beliefs for me; it is a guiding light that influences every aspect of my life, including my work as a public servant and my interactions with others. I find that my faith provides a strong foundation for my values and decisions, and it shapes the way I approach my responsibilities and relationships. At the heart of my spiritual beliefs is a commitment to moral integrity. I believe that living a life of honesty and transparency is crucial, not only in personal interactions but also in public service. It is important to me to be accountable for my actions and to lead by example.
