QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe life begins at conception and hope the 2022 Arizona state law on abortion remains in effect given current options based on the current decisions that go into effect later this year. I oppose the upcoming ballot proposition on abortion as it goes too far. I support abortion in cases of medical emergency, but will work to promote life and protect the lives of the mother's and babies. In cases of the mother's life, rape, or incest, there should be options for the parent(s).

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

All medical treatments should meet essential safety standards including chemical abortion options.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

If someone wants medical treatment, they must pay for it. No taxpayer funds from any level should go to abortion providers.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

I believe life is a gift, and we should not be taking the life's of the voiceless and I would not take this option for myself. I recognize that it would be an adult making the decision and they should be able to die with dignity, if it is the expressed request and they have undergone counseling.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. None. In 2022, HB2507 passed ensures that churches and other religious organizations receive equal treatment during a public crisis, allowing them to remain open on the same terms as other businesses and services that are deemed essential.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The relationship between the United States and Israel is significant due to mutual values, strategic interests & Israel's strategic location in the Middle East. The US has supported Israel since its inception & the two countries have cooperated on intelligence sharing, counterterrorism efforts &military training. Both nations are committed to promoting democracy, freedom, and human rights worldwide, making their bond deep and longstanding. Most important to me is the religious connection.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage in a free-market society is a complex issue. I believe there should be no minimum wage. I believe that minimum wage interferes with free markets and leads to unintended consequences. I have seen employers who are forced to pay a minim

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Without borders, we have no country.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

We should also background check all people working with our children not just educators, AZ law currently says may, it should be shall in my opinion.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects an individual's right to own a firearm for lawful purposes, such as self-defense. The amendment states that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. However, the Second Amendment is not unlimited, and it does not give individuals the right to keep and carry any weapon in any manner or for any purpose. I do not believe laws need to be further restricted.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

To enhance school safety, I believe educators and security guards should be allowed to carry guns. However, strict measures should be taken to ensure gun safety. Individuals carrying guns should undergo rigorous safety courses and regular training. Schools should also establish clear protocols for firearm use, in consultation with law enforcement officials, considering unique security needs for each school.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The government at Federal, State, and local levels serves and protects US citizens. The Federal government governs borders and security of the USA, State governments make laws affecting their states, and local governments provide services to their residents. All levels of government work together to ensure the safety and well-being of people.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Catholic-Christian, I believe in the central teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ. I believe in one God who is the creator of the universe, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the savior of humanity. I also believe in the Holy Trinity, which consists of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that through repentance and faith in Him, we can receive forgiveness for our sins. I also value the power of prayer, the importance of the sacraments, and the act of serving others.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Although racism still exists in the United States, I don't think it poses a significant threat to domestic security. We should address incidents of racism but not let fear and division overshadow the progress made towards equality and justice for all.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

C

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

In order to achieve energy independence in the America, we must adopt a multi-faceted strategy. There are multiple sources of energy available and we need to make use of all of them. This includes fossil fuels, nuclear power, and renewables.
