QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Elective abortion should be accessible for any reason up until the point of viability (20 weeks).

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Disagree

Self managed medication abortion has been a safe and effective process for years. An in person doctor consultation is medically unnecessary and designed to be a barrier for women to receive care.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

I believe people believe that individuals have the right to make decisions about their own bodies and lives, including the choice to end their suffering on their own terms. Allowing individuals to choose when and how they die respects their autonomy and personal dignity.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

Abortion providers like Planned Parenthood offer a wide range of healthcare services beyond abortions, such as cancer screenings, contraception, STD testing and treatment, & general reproductive health services. Public funding helps ensure these essential services are accessible to low-income and underserved populations. By providing preventive care reduces the incidence of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections, which can lead to better public health outcomes & lower costs

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Neutral

I don't really support the colonizer idea of private property. But, none the less it is a part of this culture & I understand that. I would like to see a world where there isn't a need to own everything.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

The minimum wage need to be increased to $15.00 per hour so that people can provide for themselves with one job. And that would still be at poverty level.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government can close churches under specific circumstances, primarily when doing so is necessary to protect public health, safety, and welfare. These circumstances typically involve outbreaks of contagious disease, structural safety concern, zoning & building violations, national security, & emergency situations like natural disaster or civil unrest. I also believe that churches should pay taxes.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Requiring businesses to provide services regardless of their owners' moral or religious beliefs ensures that all individuals have equal access to goods & services. This is particularly important for marginalized groups who might otherwise face discrimination. Equal access to goods & services promotes social cohesion and equality. One's religious beliefs should be kept to himself and not imposed on others. If one cannot do that they should not be in business serving the public.

Should religious schools which accept state funds be allowed to only admit families and students who agree to adhere to their statement of faith?

No

Religious schools should not receive any state or federal funding. However, religious schools should adhere to the same non-discrimination standards as public schools if they accept state funds. This includes not restricting admissions based on religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I believe the government is responsible for providing quality healthcare to its citizens. We are the only developed country in the world that does not. I find it appalling that doctors & insurance companies are making huge profits from exploiting sick people. As a healthcare professional, I have seen how profits drive procedural care. Healthcare should not be allowed to be a for-profit business.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccination requirements are needed for any communicable disease that we have an effective vaccine for. This is a public safety necessity.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

No more important than any other relationship.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Agree

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent unless an emergency situation arises risking immediate death.

Strongly Disagree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Disagree

This is a load of bigoted, homophobic, narrow-minded, right-wing crap. No one is doing this. The only grooming that is happening is at the hands of religious zealots.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an atheist. I value the ideology of mutual respect, caring for others, supporting my fellow humans, loving the earth, respecting and protecting our four-legged, winged, and crawling relatives. I have a moral compass that I follow and always strive to do good for others.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

Voting absentee by mail ballot should be limited to those meeting at least one of the following criteria: 1) 65 years of age or older on Election Day, 2) sick or disabled, 3) expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day, or 4) confirmed to be absent from the county of registration during voting.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

The US was built on white supremacy and is fundamentally and institutionally racist and casteist. Ever since the 13th amendment was passed, their is a segment of the population that have been working to resurrect it. Project 2025 is a glorified rewrite of Jim Crow laws only expanded to include women, queer folk, and the working poor. Allowing their agenda to come come to fruition will be the end of the current democracy that we cherish.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Agree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL!!!

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To provide for the people and govern at the will of the majority. To ensure equality & equity to all the citizens. To protect and provide for the weak and marginalized.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Choose not to answer

I say that I am a conservative liberal. I conserve the land, the trees, & the water. I conserve energy. I conserve by not using non-biodegradables and plastics.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

This was already asked. No one is coming for your guns! If you need a licence to drive a car, operate a business, and catch a fish, you should have a licence to have a gun.
