QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I am pro-life

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayers should not be subsidizing abortions under any circumstances

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. Freedom of religion is absolute.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Businesses have a right to conduct business in a way that reflects their personal moral code. If a consumer does not agree, it is up to them to find a business that does reflect their beliefs and, moreover, not feel they have a right to force their own beliefs upon a business. It is basic free market economics.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Chinese nationals are pouring in through our open borders. The Chinese government has remained active in collecting data from Americans and poses a significant threat to the United States.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, the relationship is important. Israel provides a strong democracy in the Middle East under conservative leadership principles since the 1970's. Israel is a key ally to the United States and important to our interests in the region.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Americans need to be protected from being shut out from insurance due to preexisting conditions. If the government got out of the way, healthcare costs would be more affordable. Additionally, I support a system that is transparent, increases healthcare choices and lowers costs of care and lowers costs of prescriptions.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Childhood vaccines for measles, mumps, polio, etc., still have a place in schools but under no circumstances should a government, employer, or school require vaccines as a blanket policy.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage jobs are to provide entry into the workforce and not meant to be long term career solutions. These wages should not be so high they become burdensome or fatal to a small business that must then pass along price increases to the consumer

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

Taxpayer money should be invested only where it will be of the most efficient and greatest benefit to the taxpayers. Directing taxpayer dollars to social concerns or environmental measures that have not been approved by voters should not happen.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Perhaps the current administration can start with doing SOMETHING to protect our borders. It is currently quite the contrary with a declaration of open borders for terrorists and cartel to freely exploit. The Biden administration has failed Americans and our national safety through failed border policies.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Parental choice is absolutely crucial. We as parents raise our children and we as parents make the choices in education we feel are best suited for our children and for our family. Financial support should be provided to allow parents to pursue the best educational fit for their children.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Public safety and funding police needs are only INCREASING and need to funded appropriately. We must keep America's citizens, cities, and neighborhoods safe.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Any infringement on American citizens of the 2nd Amendment is unconstitutional. Public safety is DECREASED by infringing upon the rights of law abiding citizens to own firearms.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

If a teacher chooses to pay for his/her own training, concealed carry permits, and firearm then they should be allowed to be armed in school. Infringing upon the law abiding is not the solution, and if an armed teacher helps protect our most vulnerable from society's most cowardly, then that should be supported.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Government needs to be small and not intrusive to protect our liberties. It is government's duty to protect people, not regulate their lives. President Reagan said it best - "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are - 'I'm from the government, and I'm here to help'"

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Specifically on economic, parental choice, public safety, liberty, Constitutional protection, and foreign policy - yes, very conservative.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Childhood needs to be protected from these very politicized social issues. Let children learn and grow in a safe environment free from discussions or influences that are not age appropriate. It is quite simply child abuse to expose any child to these social narratives and influence.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. If an adult chooses to transition their gender there is no instance that it should ever be subsidized by taxpayer dollars. Taxpayers should never have to pay for the personal decisions of another.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

I believe government should stay out of this issue and not alter the definition for those that feel it would dilute the meaning of union. Who adults choose as their life partner is of no interest to me, personally, as long as their is never a subsidy or special protection request. Live your life and do not ask for special government protection or treatment.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised Episcopalian, baptized and confirmed in the church. I was active as a youth in the church and attended a private Episcopalian high school where we attended services twice a week, sometimes three. I believe the choices people make in denominations or their spiritual beliefs are intensely personal and should always be respected. The right to freely worship as one chooses is a Constitutionally protected cornerstone of our country.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The right to vote in this country is a protected right of Americans and needs to be free from influence of those that do not possess that right.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe much unrest and many violent demonstrations that threaten domestic security are carried out under the flag of racism. There are those looking to revolt and riot under any cause they find convenient. Racism is still very real and wrong and needs to be addressed, but I feel the domestic threat is more likely from those that wish to create discord at all costs.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

This should not be taught in schools and is one primary example of why supporting and protecting parental choice in education is so important.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

This is destroying women's sports. How one mentally chooses to identify does not change chromosomes and there is no place for a man in women's sports.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

A. I believe in small government and less intrusive regulation.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I believe we have vast amounts of untapped natural resources (oil, gas, coal) in this country. Wind energy and other means have not yet proven to be cost effective given the production cost of machinery, especially as a primary resource.
