QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
The only circumstances should be the extremes of rape, incest or life of the mother.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
Currently, it is financially cost prohibitive to adopt a child in the United States. Many families are choosing to adopt from other countries such as China, and African nations. There are many families who would love to adopt a child but simply do not have the means to do so. Also, abortion rates tend to go down when the economy does better. We can make abortion obsolete by having earlier access to child care, lowering the costs of higher education, and creating an environment where an unplanned pregnancy does not leave young women feeling helpless.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
I would like to see the federal income tax abolished with a revenue neutral value added tax. I would propose legislation my first year to pass within the House, and get it over to my colleagues in the Senate.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Disagree
The United States in the only industrialized nation that does not offer free college to our students. The real problem is the profit that the United States government makes on predatory student loans. We can offer a free education to our young people for around sixty billion dollars, whereas the United States Congress voted to spend over two-hundred and fifty billion dollars last year in foreign aid, to fund two wars where we do not have boots on the ground. We need to change our priorities.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
We should allow the people of this country to have more of an active role in where their tax dollars are being spent.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state is not so much of keeping the church out of the political arena, but more so to keep the state out of the affairs of the church. The church is the gathering of people assembled under the banner of their faith. We should encourage people of faith to get involved at the highest levels, and collectively push for policies that they deem fit.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I believe that the government has a tendency to overstep its bounds if not held in check. If getting a vaccination is so important for saving lives, why hasn't the federal government not yet found a cure for cancer?
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Of course it is important. The United States needs a strong ally in the middle-East. Israel has shown a strong commitment to freedom and democracy and in a region as unstable as the middle-east, we need their friendship, strength, and continued willingness to a be a beacon of freedom.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
If we had true leaders in this country, we could turn it around. America has become soft, weak-kneed and has caved in to the agenda of the extreme liberal left. The LGBTQ+ agenda has feminized our young men by placing tampons in boy's bathrooms, and until Kamala Harris became the apparent nominee of the Democratic Party, defining a woman was difficult.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
We will win with people by doubling our border patrol and holding the Mexican government accountable, asking them to do the same. We can do this without raising taxes, by eliminating unconstitutional departments within the federal government. Once the border is secure, my plan Service for Freedom comes into play. My plan allows for people to come into the country, and during a four year period earn a taxable wage and learn the english language in exchange for their citizenship.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
All people of goodwill who are seeking a better life should be allowed into our country. We should continue to be a beacon light of freedom, as well as a nation of laws.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
We often get hung up on the western definition of marriage. In the inception of the legal definition of marriage, it was a legal contract to bring property and assets together. In a time where the government gets in everyone's business, the government should stay out of it. I believe that all people have the right to enter into a marriage and be equally as miserable as over 50% of all heterosexual marriages in this country.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
The greatest asset of our nation is our people, and our children are the greatest asset of our people as they are the future. Children should be protected from all agendas that are being bombarded upon them in the public school system. I have a plan, Vets for Kids that will eliminate gun violence in every school in this country. If we are going to protect their lives, we need to protect their wellbeing from the leftist transgender agenda which seeks to destroy the thought of men being men.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
This entire woke agenda has put our nation to sleep and is seeking to make our men weak, our women weaker and leaves our children with idiotic mush for brains. Now is not the time to be "woke", it is time for our country to rise up against all agendas that replace common sense with social idiocracy.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again Christian and was raised in a Christian home as the son of a Baptist minister. I was taught to love and respect all people, even those who think and believe differently than me. I believe this falls in line with the first amendment that every citizen has the right to worship as they see fit, or not at all. But as for me and my house, we serve the Lord, the One true living God.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If you need a photo ID to board a plane, drive a car, or even purchase some medications or gain entry to a foreign country, purchase alcohol or tobacco - where is the problem here? Especially in a day and time when over ten million illegal immigrants have entered our country since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
If the Electoral College were abolished, a handful of states would determine the Presidency every four years. It is a safeguard to protect the interests of the majority of the country.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
While I believe that reparations for African Americans and Native Americans are in order, I do not believe that we need to get into the practice of apologizing for what earlier generations did. Our history is a storied one, and all of our people should be proud of who they are, including their heritage.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Agree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I believe we should be harnessing the energy of wave power. Ocean wave converters can drive a turbine. Once in place, it is extremely cost effective. We should complete this project using federal dollars, and then allow the private sector to continue
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
On social issues and those concerning religious liberty, most would label me a strong conservative. On issues concerning the economy, energy, healthcare and education, those same people would call me a liberal. I believe that most of Americans could say the same. My plan, Eaglenomics brings the best from the left and the right wings and neither side has a monopoly on American ideas. Have you ever seen a bird fly with one wing? It takes both wings with a strong bird in the middle. I am that bird.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The government is to protect the rights of its citizens, and to promote the general welfare there of. The government is to provide for safety and infrastructure and do it’s best to stay out of the way.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need to do a better job of identifying those who are mentally ill and keeping firearms out of their hands. I would support legislation that would close the gun-show loophole and regulation the peer to peer sale of firearms.
