RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
God's Word is clear that life is precious to God. Jeremiah 1:5a says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;" God also states in Proverbs 6:16-17 that there are seven things that are an abomination to Him and one of them is the shedding of innocent blood. Abortion is wrong and should not be funded by any taxpayer funds.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Although I do strongly agree with this statement for safety reasons, I do not agree with abortion as an option. Again, we need to speak where God speaks, and God's Word says that abortion is wrong. God sees the unborn child as a person, created in the likeness of His image (Genesis 1:26-27).
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Elective abortion should never be allowed. Nobody should ever have the right to kill a precious unborn child because they say it is their choice. This is murder in the eyes of God. God's Word says in Exodus 21:22 “If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.”
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
I do believe that the federal government has a role to play in limiting or doing away with abortion. Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” I want to see our nation blessed by God. I believe if we get our morality issues correct, then God can open the windows of heaven. I will support any legislation that bans abortion. We must protect the unborn.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
We have to continue to make tax reforms. One way this can happen is to get rid of big government and waste. Washington wastes hundreds of billions of dollars every year. The less that Washington spends, the better the tax reforms can be.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
The American taxpayer should not have the burden of paying for someone else's student loans. The Bible clearly teaches in Numbers 30:2 and Romans 13:7-8 that individuals have a moral obligation to pay back what they have borrowed.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
The ESG follows a political agenda. The process of following these ratings is killing our economy. Climate change, for instance, is not Biblical. Genesis 8:22 says, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” I will fight to get rid of the regulations and restrictions that are killing hard working West Virginians.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means that the church is to be free from government control, not that government is to be free from the church. When Thomas Jefferson wrote his letter to the Danbury Baptist Association concerning separation of church and state, he was reassuring the Danbury Baptist Association that the First Amendment was intended to keep the government out of the church, not the church out of government. God ordained government in Genesis 9, so I am confident that God knows best how to run government.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The right to not provide services because it would violate religious beliefs is a freedom of conscience right. Our Founding Fathers recognized this as a fundamental right. The First Amendment states that Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. This guarantees that the government cannot force a person to commit an act in violation of his or her religion.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under no circumstances should an entity be able to require vaccinations. This again violates our individual freedoms.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
D) Whenever the government is in charge of healthcare, it opens the door to where we are today, and that is the government requiring healthcare for all Americans. According to the data, the federal government wastes over $250 billion of taxpayer money on healthcare. We would never just throw our personal money away, and yet this is what our federal government does all the time. We must take the power away from the government and give it back to the people.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C) We have enough problems of our own and cannot be the world police. I will always support Israel and will always stand up against any imminent danger. We need to lead through strength and the only way we do that is to work on ourselves first and foremost.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The United States relationship with Israel is very important. Genesis 12:3 says, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” I want the United States to be blessed by God!
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
It is morality issues within the military that are the major cause of recruitment and retention. These woke policies are eroding our freedoms and our foundations and must be stopped. We also must take better care of our military. They are true heroes, and they should be treated as such. John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” These men and women are willing to stand on the front lines for our freedoms, and they should be honored.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
As Christians, we should have compassion for immigrants. The problem is not immigrants; it is illegal immigration. Our borders need to be completely secured.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need immigrants in the United States. Those that would be great assets to the United States by way of growth or hard work There are also those wanting to reunite with their families and those who seek help. They need to contribute to the United States. We have to know who wants to come across our borders and why.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Our education system has become a political arm. We have to get back to our foundations. Our Founding Fathers recognized the need for teaching and learning the Bible. The public education system continues to go down the wrong path, so we must open the playing field to school choice.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
If God says it, that settles it!
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Our children need to be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. I repented of my sins as a seven-year-old boy, and Jesus gloriously saved me. I stand firm on my convictions that come from God's Word. If God's Word says it, that settles it. The Lord is my strength and my guide. I believe that all the answers can be found in God's Word. I believe our Founding Fathers knew this as well, which is why we have the foundations we have in America. They sought wisdom and direction by looking to God and His Word. We must get back to those foundations. A God-fearing, Bible-rooted foundation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We need to secure our elections to the best of our abilities. The more I have thought and talked about this issue, the more I realize that the only reason you don't want a means of identification is because you are looking for a way to cheat.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
This is the "woke" agenda and is completely wrong.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
Climate change is far from being Biblical. We always hear to follow the science. Well, then we need to go where science originated and that is God Word! Genesis 8:22 says "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." The science for climate change should look into solar flares.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas or coal, since I am from West Virginia. I will always support these industries. God has blessed West Virginia with these great resources, and we should use them. Nuclear is also a reliable energy source that we need to continue to use.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
It is to protect and secure the blessings of liberty. Protect from foreign powers. Protect from crime. Protect our freedoms.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Our police officers are true heroes. They put on their uniform and go to work to protect and serve our communities. We should be doing all we can to support and aid them.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I am fine with the background checks to purchase firearms. But I know that a criminal will get their hands on a firearm, no matter how it is done. As law-abiding citizens, we need to be able to have firearms to protect ourselves.
