QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Political advocacy groups, like Planned Parenthood, should not be receiving taxpayer funds.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Science matters. Safety standards should be driven by research and evidence, not political funding.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Abortion is the taking of human life. An elective abortion should have all the consideration it takes when deciding the ending of human life. Each case is an unique decision and not to be taken lightly for convenience or profit.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

Federal limits should conform to protecting the constitutional rights of those who cannot speak for themselves, right to life, due process, equal protection under the law. Federal law should also reserve the rights not enumerated in the Constitution to the States and the People.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The First Amendment provides for the free exercise of religion without government intervention. It also provides that no individual institution will ever be made the official dogma of the federal government.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals should not be compelled to violate their own moral or religious beliefs.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States should always stand on the principles of freedom. Advocacy for the free market of ideas provides for the opportunity for the American enterprise to freely engage across the globe. Advocacy is not intervention, but intervention may be necessary when there is a direct threat to American lives and property.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The Chinese Communist Party is neither a friend or partner with the United States. It has always been adversarial in probing our weaknesses and vulnerabilities, often at the expense of American goodwill. The Chinese Communist Party is as much a threat to the Chinese people and employ the same tactics and methods against its own citizens.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, shared values and alliances matter. We cannot speak for freedom if we do not support those whose freedoms are under attack. Israel, like Taiwan, remains a beacon of hope and freedom to neighboring economies and countries around them.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

Lack of focus on building a professional military fighting force.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Medical health information are personal and private. Individuals take the responsibility for the risk they pose to others, with or without a vaccination, with or without acquired immunity.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. Individuals should be allowed to freely decide who they get their health insurance coverage from, if they so choose to.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Minimize taxes and fund only for core essential services appropriate for each level of government. Economic decisions are best made closest to those it affects, that is with the individual American taxpayer.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Financial institutions should also take responsibility for their loan decisions and not burden the American taxpayer.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

Environmental and social issues are important components to federal funding decisions but are often fraught with undue political influences. Current ESG rating system are poorly developed with little consideration for the diversity in geography, culture, and economics of various regions. Environmental and social issues should have full consideration without a political rubric of dubious origin.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Good fences make good neighbors, same goes for the security of the southern border. Political boundaries delineate the jurisdiction of the governing legal authority, if those boundaries are not respected, neither are the laws.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be open those who have the will and capacity to become US citizens. They should not be dependent on government assistance but can be independently sponsored by individuals and organizations.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

In the market place of ideas, individual choice is still the leading indicator of successful programs. Successful educational programs attract more students because they are good and provide the desired products and services.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

The short history of the Department of Education has demonstrated its failure to serve a national purpose. Individual states have long demonstrated their ability to serve the educational needs of their residents, most often at the local and town level. Some national programs still exist but do not need Cabinet level authority.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Budgets speak to priorities. Redirecting funds is an unnecessary message of undervaluing law enforcement.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

The Supreme Court has settled into a 9-seat tradition. As a co-equal branch of government, it can only reform itself.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To collectively accomplish at the next level which can't be done by the individual or group, for basic common functions such as infrastructure and security. Government also provides oversight to ensure basic Constitutional rights are not violated.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a sacred, God-ordained union between a man and a woman, which requires no legal authority or sanction.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Election security should require the personal and physical identification of every single voter and associated ballot.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College is the single most effective Constitutional remedy to balance the federal power of small and large states, and limit the influence of any single population center.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical Race Theory is a severe corruption of critical thinking and analysis. Rather than factor in all possible causes, CRT essentially focuses on race, to the exclusion of all others, effectively being uncritical and narrow-minded.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Exceptions should be dealt with exceptionally, not with the blanket acquiescence to any claim of gender identity.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

Climate has always changed, and modern crisis agents are no exceptions to the ancient practitioners in search of influence and power.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The sun is still the most reliable source of all energy and power in the solar system, but until we can efficiently and inexpensively rely on its power 24/7/365, we'll need to depend on other available and reliable sources.
