QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Under no circumstances. We want to protect the mother and the child. The cost of living with an abortion is very heavy on a mother. When a mother is in danger there are provision to care for physical well being of the mother.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Every life if precious! The giving and taking of life is in the hands of our Lord God. It is not ours to be determined. How we treat our vulnerable is a measure of our society. Let us be a voice for the voiceless!
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Planned Parenthood serves an agenda that is counter to family life on a few fronts. We need to protect the sanctity of marriage and family. This begins with understanding the value of life and the meaning of God created man and woman.
ECONOMY
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
These ratings house a variety of agendas that our counter to the faith and family values. We need to proactively work against the agenda cloaked in ESGs.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
The issue is inflation. Raising minimum wage does not happen in a vacuum. We need to control government spending and create incentives for local communities to provide local affordable housing.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Investors are the benevolence of our Commonwealth. The successors in free enterprise are generally those who give back to our Commonwealth. Free market is imperative to productive economic health in our communities and a generous people.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The goal of government is to provide an atmosphere of it's citizens living peaceful and quiet lives with the freedom of religion and the pursuit of happiness. The statement above is in strong contrast and in opposition of those goals and rights of our citizens!
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
This is not for the government to decide or dictate! That fact that this question is on this survey is a reminder of how close we have come to loosing our freedoms. We must fight and protect this freedom at every turn!
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
True vaccines have spared us from Polio and Small Pox, but with a cost. Families need to have a choice in this matter.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Healthcare needs to be accountable to the customer. Every cost needs to be listed up front. With this, we will quickly create an free market where accountability exists. With this in place C. would be a viable answer. Without this accountability health care is unaffordable for many and the income gap between Medicaid/Medicare and affordable health is large and unattainable for many.
NATIONAL SECURITY
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. They are important for our overall foreign policy with the Middle East. We have shared values in democracy and Judeo-Christian values of faith and family.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
A nation without borders is soon to not be a nation. We must protect our borders and provide for our citizens.
EDUCATION
I support a constitutional amendment that would allow Kentucky’s General Assembly to set up a school choice program to allow dollars to follow children to the school of their choice.
Strongly Agree
Parents deserve a choice to care for the needs of their children and to be able to choose a school that supports the teaching of principles that are important to them. This also provides choice for teachers and administrators to thrive and apply their skills! Statically, school choice represents about 11% of the students moving to an alternative option.
VALUES
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
We need to teach what is natural and a given gender to children and encourage adults to understand the same. We are given as male and female. We are to show respect and dignity to all people. This does not mean that we maline what is truth.
Parental rights are a fundamental right, and parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parents have the most innate investment and responsibility for their children. It is important to protect their rights and to recognize the need for the parent's involvement in the life of their children. Parents are given to teach and discipline their children. Parents are the best advocates for their child and need to be informed on issues that other care takers may be aware of that their child may be facing.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Let us teach what is good, lovely, excellent and of good repute.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
I stand for faith and family values. Such services are in contrast to both of those things.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. I believe that he died on the cross for our sins and rose again, conquering death, and lives today. All those who believe in him will not perish but have everlasting life!
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is the union between one man and one woman and become one flesh under God. This is the definition of marriage. No government can redefine what God has designed.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Citizenship is a precious right and should be protected with the upmost care. Voting is a right of citizenship. One must be able to prove that they have these rights.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The founders understood the need for proper representation of states and rural areas. The Electoral College protects the republic.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
This is decent and healthy behavior that protects all involved.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
The words themselves sound good, however the practice is creating a circumstance where groups of people are being identified and placed over other groups. We had come so far and we were nearly colorblind. The practice of DEI is all about dividing people by color again. It should not be so. Let us love each other, not because of what we look like, but that we each need it so desperately.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I have seen Martin Luther King Jr's dream come true in my very own classroom. How remarkable it has been to be in a room full of children of all sorts of backgrounds and no one seeing each other differently. CRT is pointing our eyes to look at differences and to measure each other by those differences as opposed to celebration how much we are alike and how much we have to offer each other.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Fossil fuels have proven to be reliable and sustainable.
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
C. We need to protect the interest of the US first. Then we can be of help to our neighbors in their time of need.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Small government allows its people to thrive. Money and resources are better placed closest to the earner.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Our forefather's faith and family values have set a course for us that has helped us stand as a nation for over 200 years. Let us continue stand of principles that have stood the test of time.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
We need to support our law enforcement and first responders. We need to honor and celebrate them and ensure they have income that allows them to provide for their families.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We have the right to bear arms. I don't see restrictions as a part of the second amendment. Do we want responsible gun ownership? Yes, let's ensure we educate while maintaining our freedoms and rights. Education, not restrictions.
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
A "Gun free zone" looks a lot like an easy target. The right to bear arms is not full of clauses for a reason.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support the expansion of gambling in Kentucky?
No
Gambling creates revenue, no doubt. Did you ever wonder where that revenue is coming from? There is a great cost to a community that welcomes gambling into its culture. We should not expand gambling in Kentucky.
