OTHER INFORMATION

Candidate Q&A. Community Impact. 23 Jan 2026.

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None. I support and will defend the existing ban on abortion that we have here in Texas, while working to crack down on dangerous abortion pills being brought into the state.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

We need additional enforcement of the state-level ban on chemical abortion as well, to prevent these dangerous drugs from being brought into Texas.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Should not exist. Employers and employees should have the right to negotiate whatever wage they think is appropriate and that the market will bear.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Eliminate programs that are shown to have a high degree of fraud. Spending/tax limits at the state and local level to encourage governments to prioritize needed programs. Eliminate DEI and taxpayer-funded political programs from all levels of government, especially schools and universities. End all subsidies and services to illegal immigrants. Increase the threshold for approval of bond elections and require them to be held in November general elections.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The church is protected from the state. People should vote their values and our moral convictions should be reflected in the law, and the government should not attempt to control or interfere with the messages preached in churches or their ability to meet. Efforts to exclude God from schools and the public square are ahistorical and unconstitutional.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Between C-D: These programs are relied upon by too many people to abolish, but they need significant reform. As recommended by the Republican Party of Texas Platform, Medicare and Medicaid should be block-granted to the states and not administered federally. I oppose the expansion of Medicaid in Texas under Obamacare, and Obamacare should be repealed. Noncitizens should not be eligible for these programs or any government services except in medical emergencies.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I agree with the ban on land purchases by enemy countries that was passed in the last Legislative Session. Also, we need to end any relationship between research universities and the Chinese government to prevent espionage.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, our alliance with Israel is critical to our national security interests and to the preservation of Christian and Jewish heritage.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

The Legislature needs to immediately end the use of public funds for immigration defense attorneys, as is occurring in Harris County, and require full cooperation between law enforcement agencies and ICE.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Agree

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been "Strongly Disagree." This change was not considered during panel evaluations.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Bible-believing Christian, baptized and born again, and that is the basis for all of my views. Romans 13:1-2 states: "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves." The governing authority established by God is the Constitution, and under it, citizens, who are sovereign over the government. Officials serve God by serving our citizens, and when they violate the Constitution, they rebel against the authority He has ordained for our moral good and prosperity.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Race should not be used as the basis for any decisions made by the government, including employment, benefits, policy, or programs. All people deserve to be treated in a colorblind manner, with total equal treatment under the law as required by the Constitution. Programs that do otherwise, such as DEI programs, violate the Constitution and should be immediately ended. I believe in equality of opportunity, not equity of outcomes.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Oil and gas are the most reliable, but we need to expand nuclear power as well.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Conservative values have been demonstrated across history to be superior to all others for the defense of our liberty, preservation of moral society, and economic flourishing. These values should be instilled in the next generation the same way they were instilled in me. As President Ronald Reagan once said, "freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The primary goal is to deliver justice for victims of crimes. People need to know that if they harm others, especially through violence, they will be punished quickly and severely. In doing this, we prevent criminals from committing further crimes and keep the public safe.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Recently we have seen how harmful social media has been for children. It opens countless avenues for exploitation and bullying, and social media algorithms target children with content intended to addict them and destroy their self-image. I would support a total ban on social media use for children under the age of 16.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None (for law-abiding citizens).
