I do not support continued government-mandated increases in the minimum wage. I believe wages are best driven by the market, allowing employers to compete for workers and employees to benefit from a strong, competitive economy.

“Separation of church and state” means government should neither establish nor control religion, while protecting every individual’s right to freely exercise their faith. The original intent was not to remove faith from public life, but to prevent government interference in or establishment of religion.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. I support maintaining Medicare and Medicaid while opposing government-run universal healthcare. I also support appropriate, targeted programs addressing specific needs, such as veterans’ healthcare and maternal and infant health.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Yes. The United States’ relationship with Israel is extremely important. Israel is one of our strongest allies and a key partner in protecting American interests, combating terrorism, and promoting stability in the Middle East. We share a commitment to democracy, freedom, and the right of nations to defend their people. I strongly support standing with Israel, protecting our longstanding alliance, and working together to confront threats to both our nations.

Foreign governments should not be permitted to use funding to influence American educational institutions, curriculum, research, or policy. Strong transparency and disclosure requirements are essential, and funding from foreign adversaries or entities that pose national security concerns should be prohibited. Legitimate educational and research partnerships with trusted allies should be evaluated separately and subject to appropriate safeguards.

Children should be protected from medical interventions intended to transition them to the opposite sex, particularly those with significant or irreversible consequences. I also have serious concerns about adults encouraging a child’s social transition. Because “social transition” is broad, any legal definition of child abuse must clearly identify the conduct involved. This qualification should not be interpreted as support for adults encouraging children to transition.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

I believe marriage is a sacred, God-ordained union between one man and one woman, and I strongly support protecting the freedom of individuals and religious institutions to hold, practice, and express that belief. Ohio has experienced significant gambling expansion in recent years, and I do not support further expansion at this time. I believe we should first evaluate the data and better understand the impact of expanded gambling, particularly on young people, problem gambling, and families, before considering any additional expansion.

I am a born-again Christian, and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. My faith cannot be separated from who I am. It provides my moral compass and ethical foundation and shapes the conservative values I hold. I believe in the God-given dignity and worth of every person, personal responsibility, strong families and communities, and caring for those who are marginalized or in need. My faith calls me to love and serve others and to lead with compassion, integrity, humility, and conviction.

Given Ohio’s abundant natural gas resources, I believe natural gas is the most reliable near-term source for meeting growing electricity demand. Looking ahead, nuclear should play an increasingly important role. I support an all-of-the-above approach

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The primary goal of the criminal justice system should be protecting the public and ensuring accountability for those who break the law, while providing justice for victims. Where appropriate, it should also promote rehabilitation, address underlying issues that contribute to criminal behavior, and reduce recidivism so individuals can successfully return to their families and communities.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly support the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and do not support additional restrictions that burden responsible gun owners. Public safety is best served by enforcing existing laws, keeping firearms out of the hands of violent criminals and others legally prohibited from possessing them, and holding those who misuse firearms accountable. Constitutional rights and due process must be protected.
