QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Every pregnant person should always should be empowered to make their own most personal medical decisions.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

I firmly believe in the right of individuals to make decisions about their own bodies. This includes supporting comprehensive reproductive rights for everyone, regardless of gender. In terms of federal legislation, I would advocate for measures that protect and preserve access to safe and legal reproductive healthcare services. For example, supporting legal frameworks like Roe v. Wade is essential to ensure that all individuals have the autonomy to make decisions regarding their reproductive health. I would oppose any legislation that introduces unnecessary restrictions or barriers, recognizing the importance of safeguarding reproductive rights for all.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, "separation of church and state" signifies the essential independence between religious institutions and government affairs. It ensures that religious beliefs don't unduly influence or dictate governmental policies, fostering a secular and inclusive governance where diverse perspectives are respected.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Mandating services regardless of personal beliefs ensures equal access, preventing discrimination. Upholding inclusivity strikes a balance between religious freedom and broader principles of fairness in society.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

I align with C, emphasizing a cautious foreign policy. The U.S. should prioritize its sovereignty, focusing on domestic issues. Too often, we allocate resources for wars while neglecting the needs of the poor. It's crucial to cease perpetual wars, redirecting attention and funds to address pressing domestic concerns, promoting a responsible and compassionate approach to both national and global challenges.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There should be vaccination requirements under circumstances that must prioritize public health and safety, such as controlling the spread of contagious diseases.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I support government-funded healthcare for all. Universal healthcare ensures equitable access, prioritizing health over profit and addressing disparities. Streamlining administrative costs fosters an efficient, inclusive system, promoting preventive care and contributing to a healthier, more just society.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Advocate for a human rights economy, centering on dignity, rectifying historical injustices and tackling inequalities. Additionally, incentivizing startup companies to take safe measures to building innovation.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Disagree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Disagree

We've allocated billions of dollars in the southern border. It is imperative that we invest into building our communities.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
