QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Our school system should not offer advice or advise on decisions concerning a student's pregnancy, regardless of the situation. However, we can offer assistance and support to the student by helping her navigate such difficult tasks like informing her parents/guardians.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
It's a scientific fact that life begins at conception. At the point of fertilization a new organism is created which contains unique DNA that didn't exist before, which is, by definition, new life. The child's heartbeat, unique and independent of the mother, can be detected at around three weeks. As a Christian, it is my inherent belief that our Creator formed us in our mother's womb as a unique person at the time of conception.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise creates greater efficiency in producing goods and services by fostering competition. It also provides individuals the right and the means to control their own livelihoods. The overwhelming majority of people will work harder and with more dedication when benefitting directly from the results of their own efforts.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Pre-K should be included in basic public education just as K-12 is and provided by the government. Our students education should be a fundamental priority. A good foundational education is the basis of an economically strong country. Post secondary education or continuing education, as it stands, should not be part of government provided education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Our teachers should not be forced to teach any curriculum that violates their religious beliefs. Any mandated curricula that violates a teacher's moral or religious beliefs should be re-evaluated as part of our public education. If the questioned subject remains in the curriculum, then arrangements should be made for another teacher, or the principal, to teach that specific topic.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Our schools have NO right to instruct, guide, initiate, suggest or in any way influence any student concerning pregnancy/abortion, social theories or gender ideologies. These topics must be wholly left up to the parents/guardians.
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Discipline and the understanding of consequences for breaking rules are essential aspects of education. Teachers and parents/guardians must collaborate to ensure discipline is allowed/accepted and integrated into the learning process.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
Taxpayers and parents/guardians should have access to all curriculum taught in our public schools. This includes textbooks, teaching materials, media center offerings, reference materials, and any outside information provided to support any subject.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
An accurate and age appropriate education of our country's founding documents and history, good and bad, should be taught throughout public education. Our graduating students should be able to answer any civics question asked on the US Naturalization Citizenship test. We absolutely need to cultivate American patriotism and providing a thorough education of our country is a great starting point.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
I do not support DEI in public school education in any form, for students or teachers. DEI instruction has the potential to create reverse discrimination, and friction and adversity among classmates where none existed before. Additionally, these edicts suggest that certain segments of our student population cannot succeed solely on merit, which is both unfair and demeaning to those students. All children should be taught that they posses the ability to be successful.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Public education should be controlled at the state (and local) level. Our public education system must be a priority of the controlling body. The federal government was created to provide a national defense, establish a uniform justice system and promote unity of the states. Overtime it has grown and created over-reach into many areas, such as education, where it has no business.
If a member of the public flags (challenges) a book as inappropriate and the school board disagrees, should the board impose a moratorium on when the book can be challenged again? If yes, for how long?
Once a book challenge fails and the book remains in the media center, the waiting period before another challenge is accepted should be based on the school year. No book can be challenged more that once per school year. Any longer would suggest the board isn't responsive to new findings or concerns for rising students.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Educational funds should follow the student, allowing the freedom to choose the school that best suits him/her and presents the most successful outcome. Not only does this create a better environment for student success, it inspires a level of healthy competition between our educational facilities encouraging them to be better. Ultimately, allowing the dollar to follow the student could act as a drawing card for the best educators and school staff to the successful schools.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Equality of opportunities is the only viable choice. We will always create stronger, more confident graduates if we work toward building an understanding in each student that they posses the ability to be successful, based on their own merit and hard work.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
(A) Opt-In should be required for all CSE type courses.
Who should make decisions about whether or not a book is appropriate for children? A) the elected school board members; B) an outsourced community committee
Review of any challenged books should be conducted by an outsourced community committee made up of parents and taxpayers.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian who believes there is only one living God who sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. I believe the Bible is the God breathed living word. We cannot buy our way into Heaven with good deeds, but we are expected to do unto others as we would like them to do for us.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
It should be criminal for any adult to encourage or allow any gender altering procedures to be performed on minors.
If sexual education is taught in schools, what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Sexual education should be taught no earlier than 12 years old or 7th grade.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
I believe marriage a union between a man and a woman, as defined in the Bible and ordained by God.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Parents/guardians have an exclusive right to decide all aspects of their child's education, lifestyle ideologies, religious beliefs, morals and values, and healthcare.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parents have exclusive rights to any and all records associated with their minor children. The only exception being restrictions imposed on the parent by a court of law.
School children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows and explicit materials with pictures of sex acts and graphic language.
Strongly Agree
Minor children should be protected from sexual grooming, by anyone, in any form, especially within the public school system.
Should schools be giving instruction on how to engage in sexual acts, the pleasures of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or should they instead focus on educating students about the science of reproduction?
Our school system has no authority to offer instruction of any sexual content, except the science of reproduction.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Everyone exercising his/her right to vote should be required to present a photo ID. Voting is a privilege that should not be taken lightly.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Biological males should not be allowed to enter into any female only spaces, regardless of how the male is dressed or 'identifies'. Allowing any of these accesses creates unsafe environments for women by putting them in vulnerable situations. Biological males should not be allowed to participate in any female only sports as they are naturally stronger, which creates an unfair advantage.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
My conservative beliefs are guided by my faith and the clear division of right and wrong it teaches, along with a healthy dose of common sense and my love for our amazing country and it's citizens.
2ND AMENDMENT
The right to bear arms is fundamental and must be protected.
Strongly Agree
The right to bear arms, to protect ourselves and our families, is both a God-given right and a constitutional right. Our 2nd amendment rights were created to give the citizens of the United States of America the right to protect themselves against tyranny or any challenge to our liberties.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Strongly Disagree
I fully support medical freedom for both students and staff. Only parents have the right to determine the best course of action for their child in a pandemic situation, including potential consequences of opting in or out of precautions or treatments.
